  • Ouch! I did my extremely slow and gentle squats after a trip to IKEA with the kids. I’ve been looking into equipment-free exercises for toning and improving my shape without trashing my joints. Today I did a few exercises from a chair (seated) workout video. It seems like nothing doing at first, but by the time you hit the 50ish mark you’re starting to feel odd muscles activate. I never got the hang of Pilates, I think I’d have to do it in front of a mirror to get it right and there’s insufficient space in front of mirrors at my place.

  • Ok so you inspired me to have another look at squats. One of my least favourite exercises because my knees hate me (“lift with your knees” they said, “save your back” they said). I thought, there’s got to be a way to do it without trashing your knees. That led me to a short video which really helped. I did all the things that Dr said and now I can (carefully) do squats! So I did 56 very slow and careful squats, and I’m very excited to join you on your squat challenge!

  • I’m a bit like Force, I started with the spray and moved to the lozenges. I really liked the spray and used it for about 4 years before I switched to the lozenges. I can’t see myself giving up the lozenges any time soon but the way I see it, anything is better than smoking or vaping and I’m happy for myself, because I was really badly addicted. I gave up and then started again and quit again about 10 years ago. I’d had about a dozen attempts prior to that, and I smoked both ciggies and weed for over 20 years.

  • He’s very excited 😆 He and his dad are putting it together currently. It’s not a very expensive top of the range kind of one (he would’ve liked something better) but I said you can try it and play around with the features and start to get an idea of what things you like or want as features, then get something else later down the track. It’s a good starter kit and I wanted him to have that pride of having saved for something and got it.
