In the battle for Make vs CMake, I would die for Make probably.

unauthorized copying to train Llama is an “undeniably commercial” use that provides no new transformative meaning and shouldn’t qualify as fair use.

Obviously they shouldn’t have used pirated content in this case… but how is the argument that it provides “no new transformative meaning”? Isn’t it pretty self evident that it does? It’s even in the literal name: “generative AI” 🙄
This is way too obscure. Most people would need more time than this to plan I imagine. I’m only hearing about this today after being tuned into politics for months and I’d only realisticly be able to participate if I heard about this 2 weeks ago.
He should consider himself lucky you call him dad. I know some fathers who are simply referred to by their first name by their children.
Some of the audience was behind him. He just really wanted to get the message across 😒
They’re for real Nazi supporters
Can life as we know it exist without DNA/RNA? I believe even the simplest forms of life have it. If by complex life they mean multicellular organisms then I think it seems pretty accurate.
Oh yeah you’re totally right - OP made a typo :P
I would assume they meant they posted on reddit initially - which could also help explain why it was removed 🙃
mildly satisfying and infuriating at the same time!
Not who you replied to, but I think some people would prefer asking with “What are all the different kinds of food you’ve ever eaten?” and then elaborate by saying stuff like “My area has many types of food, but I’ve never seen any Egyptian restaurants/places around before.” or something like that.
Mine was ruined by traffic and my clutch burning out due to the +8 hour traffic. currently waiting for a tow =(
US, 25, and I drive a manual. I feel it gives me more control than an automatic.
Also, I got my license driving an automatic. Learned manual after. Didn’t need to retake the test though which I always find funny.
I assume the intern meant malding? As in, he’s saying everyone was upset.
The truly, mildly infuriating thing is that they will most likely charge you as soon as the trial ends unless you cancel.
As someone who already likes the product: The trial is just a bonus - you get that time for free.
As someone who actively dislikes the product: You’ll likely only use the trial if it’s absolutely necessary.
As someone who is skeptical of the product: You may want to use the trial to help decide whether you like the product.
As someone who is frugal: You would not want to get charged for something unnecessarily.
If I’m skeptical and frugal, I’d be wary of starting a trial which automatically charges me at the end. I’d be more likely to seek alternatives. Apple may not target this demographic to begin with so the point could be moot with this example… but regardless, the fact that many “free” trials do this is probably mildly infuriating to anyone who is skeptical and frugal.
Additionally, when I do find a true free trial, I would be inclined to take that as a sign that the product speaks for itself and that I’m not going to get ripped off.
The dated lists I find helpful as well - I’ve been doing this daily for the past few months just to keep track of work tasks and personal tasks that I really shouldn’t forget about.
On windows, I used Mullvad VPN and Qbittorrent. The settings suggested by Rodneyck are also what I used for qbittorrent.
And a tip: if you notice qbittorrent is not downloading your torrents but has lots of seeders and your VPN is connected… try restarting qbittorrent (right click the tray icon and quit) and it should start downloading.
