Thanks…I was hoping I wouldn’t need to have to add a server just for this. I was hoping for a single app in the traditional way.

We shouldn’t use archive.is anymore I’m afraid. I don’t know a good alternative, but archive.today links are no longer trustworthy.

Not to forget they considered BBC left leaning with their coverage of the Gaza bombings. So yeah.

Doesn’t this sound awfully similar to the Mini disc technology? The discs were only writable when heated by a laser. They were pretty impressive for the time… But not very fast. Especially when writing.

Not so far away regarding “creating the groundwork”.

Thanks for the journalctl command, I think I was looking for hints like this. I’ll be reviewing my journalctl next time I get a crash. Regarding Steam, since it’s using NVME both for the OS and the gaming disk, it downloads at rather crazy speeds without slowing down the OS (as long as I’m not trying additionally something else also crazy of course…but I can continue browsing and watching videos just fine).
Also, this is most likely completely unrelated but do note that Neon is basically abandoned. You should very much consider switching to a maintained distribution, whether that’s another Ubuntu spin or Fedora or something else entirely.
Thanks! Yeah I might reconsider a whole system wipe. I’ve tried shortly Fedora before, and Nobara for a few years, but I think I’d prefer something Ubuntu-based with KDE. Something that it’s not Kubuntu, that is. I don’t want snap crap.

Nothing much enterprise…It’s running “Windows App”, just a glorified RDP with extra authentication settings for SSO etc. Hence why I gave it only 4GB. It’s not just GUI not being responsive, everything is. It’s a full freeze, and I can’t get to the text consoles either. Most I can aspire to, I think, is to gather data from right before the freeze happens…and check it after I reset the computer.

Haven’t tried remote SSH yet. But switching to text console doesn’t work, unresponsive for that, too.

Sigh. When in doubt…reboot. Seems the evaluation doesn’t necessary update or re-evaluate after some changes to the qualities/formats have been done. But after I rebooted, it immediately imported the files.

You mean it would have to also be…bigger data bitrate regardless of codec or… a higher position hierarchically in the quality list? As in, having to change the ‘quality’ from WebRIP-1080p to WebDL-1080p which somehow is one step further in the list? That would then trigger the custom format sections, ONLY? That would make shittier codecs but bigger files always win in this rating right?

Thanks! I’ve just uploaded a few screenshots in the thread.

Here’s a bunch of screenshots attached! I find interesting that if I use the parsing tool to test on a filename that’s getting a zero score in the error message, on the parsing tool it gets a 39, which should be plenty justified for a file upgrade.

I think so! I mean, it’s giving it a full zero. The other custom format in the profile has a 10, and that’s correctly applied.

Keep a very large salt shaker around if you are going to watch Gaza coverage from the BBC.

Multi monitor still has some quirks from time to time. Don’t take me wrong, it’s already much better than just 2-3 years ago even, but…still has quirks. Specially with different DPI. Sometimes apps get very…wonky when moved from a monitor with a normal 100% scaling to one where it has 150% scaling or so. And on return, it’s already messed up. Some start already in the wrong scaling with super tiny text. Or text double the size. Let’s just say, sometimes scaling gets tricky.
There’s also still a lot of games that don’t like being moved to another monitor, and don’t even give an option for it. Even when pushed to the non-main monitor by OS key combo (meta-shift-left, for example), they tend to rearrange themselves again back to the main monitor when changing from title screen to in-game screen, and things like that. So…still slightly wonky. Light years ahead of where we were just 3 years ago…but still wonky sometimes.

Wow that’s a really insightful article, I doubt a lot of people know about this, Thanks!
They still can’t post shit against the general instance rules. So they’d have to be very careful of get the nuisance of getting their posts constantly removed, and eventually banned. No need to make individual distinctions when the general rules already work.

Thanks. Somehow it didn’t work for me :(
Thanks, I’ll definitely try it out.
