        It is a tactic, when the other doesn’t know when you’re being serious about your threats, you don’t know when to actually defend.

        Best not to underestimate him.

          i think we overestimate him. the us’ ability to hurt other countries was shown to be lacking when trump tried and failed to bully other countries. and then their altercation with iran and russia has shown them to be militarily weaker than everyone imagined.

            I prefer to overestimate a buffoon one time too much than to be overran by a buffoon through underestimation.

              i think this strategy of bravado is precisely for intimidation and obfuscation of what they are capable of. its still very much scary and dangerous, mind you, but its not as hopeless as some say.

              they have already shown they aren’t as strong as everyone thought. i believe other countries have a good estimation of what the us is capable of at this point.
