Nobody ever wanted or needed to attack Russia. Nato is not a country nor is it annexing territory nor is it forcing people to join it. That is straight up russian propaganda to supress the real problems within the country and to distract. Btw, Ukraine used to rely on nuclear deterrance but it was Russia (and not nato) attacking it after signing multiple deals that it wouldnt.
