Ukrainian soldier and OSINT researcher Kriegsforscher wrote on X that the failed crossing was part of a larger Russian mechanized push near Pokrovsk. According to him, the 33rd, 93rd, 95th, and other brigades destroyed at least sixteen infantry fighting vehicles during heavy fog that limited visibility.

OSINT analyst Moklasen, reviewing the brigade’s footage, identified at least six pieces of armored equipment stuck in the Kazennyi Torets riverbed.

This is likely an extraordinarily intense fighting situation right now, the PR value of capturing Pokrovsk given the timing right now has made it into a global fulcrum with massive forces pressing from both sides.

A “victory” here is vital for the raw grist to make propaganda for Russia to appear strong in negotiations but make no mistake this is already irrevocably a strategic military defeat for Russia. The losses are catastrophic for Russia.

I like how the drones are warning about “low battery, land now” and the operators are just like “alright imma land on these russians just a moment”

The batteries don’t last long, especially with heavy munitions on them. That last one in particular looked like actual battery failure because the operator throttled up but it still fell out of the sky. I might be mistaken though because he cut to 20 then only went back to 40 so maybe just trying to drop onto it?
