Multiple Rocket Launch Systems are the ultimate devastating anvil of modern combined arms land warfare.

If you try to brute force mindlessly assault a defending army that posesses MLRS systems with an overwhelming slow and concentrated force like a massive column of Turtle “tanks”, your grid square will be wiped off the map by a salvo of rockets.

Do not be fooled by the temporary amnesia around exactly why MLRS systems (especially when used in compliment with heavy cannon artillery) made slow moving overly-cubersome armored vehicles categorically extinct in a full scale land warfare with a near-peer foe.

The only way Turtle vehicles will work as a broad strategy is if Ukraine has no artillery left to shoot, which is increasingly becoming a logistics issue Ukraine is able to solve domestically.

And on the flip side, Russia is basically down to new-built tubes, with very few self-propelled guns. For an army that has always been VERY heavily reliant on artillery, that’s a massive problem for them.

So enjoy your up-“armored” tank crawling along without anything to counter-battery the stuff shooting at you.
