I’d love if it were that way, but we had an insanely close vote, where the conservatives got record numbers of votes, even though they didnt win. And winning just got us another centrist (not really sure how I feel about him yet).

I’m happy we didn’t elect PP since he was (or I guess is) our Trump but we massacred our left-wing party electing someone who’d have fit in as leader of the Canadian Conservative Party before they went off the deep end. We elected a banker who’s about to get a majority government because CPC MPs keep jumping ship to the Liberals since the party is just conservative without the social-con aspects at this point.
