        It’s crazy to imply that electoral politics (especially in the US) represents the will of the people.

        I’m so tired of this refrain. 49% of 64% of US voters voted for him, but even that is an oversimplification. The reality is that in some regions it is hard to vote. Waiting in line for hours. It is not a national holiday, so no pay for taking time off to wait in line. Polls often have limited times, and people in the US work too much just to stay alive. And that does not even take into account electoral college bullshit. The right has done so much to make voting hard or even impossible for some.

        The US is vast and diverse, which makes hand waving dismissals like this even more frustrating.
