I’m excited to see this grow. I’ve been watching activity on the Github repos and it’s neat seeing a number of people contribute. I’ve been able to build out a list of communities to follow and have almost filled my doom-scrolling itch.
My favorite thing so far is seeing people actually having back-and-forth conversations in the comments again. Many subreddits seemed to get too big where comments felt more “fire-and-forget” instead of people coming back to have a conversation.
Yeah, even if Lemmy/Kbin/etc doesn’t get as big of a following as Reddit I think we’re in for a treat as long as the general community keeps up the good vibes. Much like how while Hackernews is a lot smaller than a number of tech/programmer subreddits, it’s content is much more enjoyable.
