This is in such stark contrast to Russian soldiers, who capture and disarm Ukrainian soldiers, who have surrendered, and then shoot them. Yes, not all Russian soldiers, probably a minority, but still, there are now several documented cases (and almost certainly many undocumented).
Don’t forget the castration.
At least some of them still have a few functioning brain cells.
The good and the bad are being thrown into Putin’s meat grinder.
Yeah, but even most of those who do will still get a grenade dropped onto them instead of a note.
The world could probably benefit from some sort of new convention establishing protocols for surrender to drone.
Right now, it’s kinda ad-hoc, but if this is the way the war is gonna be in the future, you don’t want to place soldiers in a position where they can’t accomplish anything and it’s just the protocols of war and lack of established surrender convention that causes them to be executed.
