I suggest you practice in isolated areas until you are comfortable enough. You do not need to drive, but knowing how to in case of an emergency can be life saving.

the U.S. Marshals Service saying in a statement that the deputy marshal “fit the general description of a subject being sought by ICE.”
Description: “non-white”
There are differences but I wouldn’t use terms like “liberal” although those who chose to join the Marines due tend to have a particular stereotype.
You might want to edit your post to read “armed forces” rather than army. The United States armed forces include Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, Space Force (LOL), and the National Guard. I apologize if I left anyone out.
I’ve been meaning to switch from Tailscale to Headscale but I have been to busy. Do you have any instructions, write-ups/walk-thrus you could recommend to set this up? I have three sites with 1GB internet I can use. One has a whole house UPS but dynamic IP, another has a static IP but no UPS, and the third is Google fiber with no UPS, but I can use the app to get the current IP anytime. I also own a number of domain names I could use.
Cop Land is amazing. Most people forget that Stallone has been nominated for three academy awards.
There are so many movies I could list but for now I’ll go with About Time (2013). Everything about it makes it seem like it would be a dumb sappy romcom but it manages to hit hard.
EDIT: This is the type of image they used to market the film, which is really misleading.
Information security and data management for the most part.
I work 80+ hours a week (this week I’m gonna clock 96+) and things don’t break on a schedule. I started at around 6:30am after going to bed at ~2:00. Normally I have a window around 10:00am, but no such luck today. I also ran out of protein bars.
I can shitpost on my phone while monitoring a code run and listening to a conference call. I don’t have serving staff and I don’t eat fast food (delivery), so breakfast requires my time and attention for preparation.
PS: Finally had breakfast at ~1:15. I should really meal prep but alas, ADHD.
PPS: I only post and comment on Lemmy when I’m busy working as a way to destress and keep focused. Otherwise my nervous energy starts to eat at me. If I’m here, I’m busy.
Impressive. I have been on fiber for a number of years now and when I switched the fastest pure cable (not fiber to the curb) I could find was 300 down and 10 up. Because of my work, upload speeds are as important as down, which is why I had to switch.
Where does this magic cable go?
The answer is either “it goes on the threaded port of your cable modem” or “it goes to a distribution panel somewhere outside”. It really depends what you meant by the question.
How long is the cable?
Normally you want to keep the cable as short as possible.
How does so much data go through a single-pin coax cable?
Technology has continued to progress but I think many cable providers are capping at around 100 mbps. I could be wrong.
Wouldn’t it be better if there were more pins, like in a twinax configuration?
Not necessarily.
There are also other houses in my neighborhood. Are their cables connected to mine?
It depends on the configuration your ISP used. Many would in fact share a pipe’s bandwidth amongst blocks of homes. I not sure how prevalent that practice is today.
Can their routers see the packets sent by my router, similar to ethernet?
No. Every single home is on a different network.
How has your day been?
It’s almost 1:00pm and I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to have breakfast yet.
My main use case for it is storage, so it makes sense that I never noticed any issues.
The short answer is that Linux should be able to read your unencrypted drives without issue.
Your system drive (what you call today C:) needs to use a standard Linux filesystem, but you do not have to dedicate the entire drive to it.
For external or storage drives (photos, books, music, movies, other media) I stick to NTFS or ExFAT as they are both read by Windows and Linux. ExFat is also compatible with MacOS while NTFS is a pain on Mac’s.
I have used NTFS on my external drives on Linux for longer than I care to admit with absolutely no issue.
Reaper is like the Arch Linux of DAWs. It’s power is in its flexibility and customization. That said, I found it to be uninspiring in its complexity out of the box. That said, the Reaper community is amazing. If you want to mod and customize it into your ideal DAW,y recommendation is to hit the community forums, Discord, etc.
Personally, I bounced from Reaper almost instantly in favor of Bitwig and Renoise on Linux.
Bitwig and Reaper. Two of the best music DAWs on the market and they each have a Linux native version.
EDIT: I forgot to include Renoise, the music tracker DAW.
All according to plan.
