The footage, shared by Russian military correspondent Pavel Kukushkin on his Telegram channel, shows two men sitting opposite each other at a table, communicating in Russian and Chinese via a voice electronic translator.

“The Chinese unit in the Pyatnashka brigade is growing. More and more [Chinese] are constantly arriving. Our Chinese brothers have also come to us,” a Russian serviceman said in the video published by Kukushkin.

The video comes shortly after India said it was working to bring home some 20 of its citizens who say they were tricked into fighting for Russia on the front lines in Ukraine.

Some Indian citizens recruited by Russia told AFP that they were promised roles that wouldn’t involved fighting on the front lines, but when they arrived in Russia, they were trained to use weapons including Kalashnikov assault rifles and deployed to Ukraine.

Sounds like China realized that they don’t have any combat experience and now some people are volunteered to gain some experience for the invasion of an unspecified island…

China is also stronger then Russia and they know they just have to bribe one of the US parties to stop aid to Taiwan.

That doesn’t work because regardless of how dumb they are, the tec companies from USA will put enough pressure on them. Taiwan is one of the most important chip makers in the world.

Taiwanese living in Taiwan. We get a crazy amount of news about this all the time.

Advanced chips is not something that you can just throw money at and figure it out. Even if they stole a machine, it would be impossible to operate it let alone recreate it.

At the pace they are at, it’s going to be decades until they have something close to what my people have and by that time, we probably have something else better.

It’s also significantly smaller and their potential opposing force is better prepared i.e. they’ve actually built a military designed for that type of engagement.

        So, not really analogous conflicts.

I do agree that it does make sense for them to send in “contractors” to help build up their stockpile of generally combat experienced troops to bring back into the mainland.

As if they don’t know… Just kill them an don’t risk anything to take captives.

They’ll just say they are mercenaries under contract with the Russian State and not under Chinese military command.

Wasn’t there a video a short while back where there were Chinese volunteers full of piss and vinegar before, then complaining about cold and lack of equipment when they actually reached the front?
