Apparently you’ve missed out on some wild combat footage since he was elected… I think you have a little catching up to do.

Like, are you aware that the cartels have weapons only issued to US military service members? Or that Mexico won a US lawsuit against US gun manufacturers for facilitating weapon smuggling?

This is why you don’t want neoliberals for neighbors.

Mexican police went to America to be trained by their military. When police were sent back, they abandoned the government and became one of the most vicious and capable cartels on the planet.

Yeah, and some of the cartels have also been run by ex US special forces operators.

These groups are not just some homegrown militias - although it’s also important to recognize that they are not altogether opposed to supporting local communities when they aren’t at war with the government (e.g., during covid).

It’s not a simple situation, and there’s no simple domestic solution. Thinking Mexico can gun them down is irrational, or naive at best.

If I was a rouge security agency who wanted to smuggle drugs into the US to fund secret, illegal and immoral wars around the world, I’d use a cartel just like that one.

I’m aware. And I think that’s a US cultural thing not neoliberal. Most of Europe wouldn’t contribute to the weapon issue if they were next to Mexico.

But on the main topic, sure there is some crazy footage but he still is using a padded stick.
