you say “those who started the war might even be exposed” as if that wasn’t 100% clear from the beginning. Russia invaded ukraine, and Ukraine has a right to defend itself. Therefore, Russia must vacate Ukraine before there can be peace or there will never be peace. Remember the appeasement of the Nazis and Fascists before WWII? We’ve already been through this with Russia and Crimea. If you keep letting them annex and invade sovereign nations they will just keep doing it.
So if you are really on the side of “peace” you are on the side of Ukraine, and failure to acknowledge that is just equivocation.

Of course Russia should not occupy Ukraine (and neither should Ukraine act as an occupying army towards its own Russian minority). But questions of what is right and what is wrong will not be decided on the battlefield. The only thing that will be proven on the battlefield is which side has a bigger army, and we already know the answer to that question.
