Obviously searching “trees” just points me to cannabis communities. Is there a community for actual trees and tree health?

I don’t know if they did here what they did on reddit, but since trees is cannabis communities here, try searching marijuana enthusiasts to find arboreal assistance. If that doesn’t help, try searching using terms like arborist, arboretum, and other tree terms.

I hope you don’t mind I clicked your profile, you might try reaching out to the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension if you’ve got a specific issue. They can even do a soil sample for you.

No worries at all! Thank you! I have a specific issue with a tree that I had taken down earlier this year due to a fungal infection.

I didn’t have them grind down the stump, but this season a bunch of sprigs have sprouted from the uninfected side of the stump (which makes me happy!). I am just wondering though if those sprigs will eventually be doomed since the root system is prob infected :/

I probably could call my tree guy and ask or do further internet research - but hence I was here on lemmy and started poking around which caused me to ask!
