A familiar figure was spotted running from police with a crowd of protesters in Antalya, Turkey, in the early hours of Thursday, March 27 — Pikachu, the Pokemon.Footage from Ismail Koceroglu shows the bizarre moment a person dressed as Pikachu ran alongside protesters, who have gathered for the past week in various cities in opposition to the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.Pikachu was cheered on by Turkey’s Republican People’s Party on X, who said that even Pikachu is affected by pepper spray.
