Yuck. Do you have any evidence?
That’s because there aren’t any, at least none that could even remotely compete with YouTube.

My point exactly. Emacs is more than an editor, it’s an everything runtime environment, nearly an opening system in itself. But my computer already has an operating system. I prefer to always use the simplest tool that gets the job done well.
Lol, discussing vi vs. Emacs makes me feel young again. DOS vs. Unix anyone? C vs. Pascal? Or Amiga vs. Atari? 😁

alias emacs=vi and start using a real editor

Those downvoters, I guess, have never used Apple devices or experienced the Apple ecosystem. Yes, it’s a walled garden, an ivory tower, a golden cage: But it’s one that’s so beautiful and versatile that, once you’re inside, you fall in love with it and really don’t want to get out.

There’s nothing in the free world to compete with the Apple experience.
Nextcloud has an app called Music which contains subsonic and ampache servers.

Does the term “freedom of opinion” have any meaning to you?

You’re right of course … same here …

Not faster, but they don’t time out.

Same here. I’ve switched from GUI to CLI updates for this reason long ago.
Edit: got the acronyms wrong, fixed now, sorry for the confusion

Seriously, you mean there are people who didn’t figure that out by themselves? People above voting age anyway? Wow, that explains a lot of the things going on around the world these days …

Says the guy who posts about what everyone else has known since like forever 🤣
It’s a compliment because it means that you’re going to be very successful, have a lot of friends and a good time and great sex. Sure, your conversations will be shallow and your relationships superficial, but you’ll be too dumb to mind. Ignorance is a bliss, and who likes a smartass anyway.
In that case, yes, not knowing what ^ does in C is fucking embarrassing.
Might happen to someone juggling different programming languages all day. Tells a lot about his skill level of course, but we’ve all been beginners. I’m more concerned about the apparent lack of unit tests.
Thanks. Disgusting
