This is it. Lemmy just isn’t designed the same as reddit and its gonna take a bit for you to find and explore different communities on here before your feed has a steady flow of new stuff, and even then it won’t be as much as reddit.

Right now I think it’s more just a collective of individual action, not so much a group of people that meet up. It’s also near impossible with how monitored everything is these days. Be careful where and how to talk about this stuff tho. Anything that has a speaker has the potential to listen, even if it’s “turned off”.

It’s Thanksgiving. A lot of people visiting with friends/family. Idk how to access the numbers but I’d imagine last year was about the same

So many people think that if their owner wasn’t taxed as much, or if the company could save money somehow, it would mean they would get a raise. No Jimbob, you sweet summer child, the owner is just going to pocket the savings and pay you the same.

If anyone actually knew WHEN it would crash they wouldn’t tell be saying anything and instead placing bets via the stock market.

The general consensus seems that people pay for the convenience, not having to cook or clean and not having to wait very long for it. Which is kind of crazy because that seems like such a luxury to me lol. Like a lite version of having a personal chef.

I wonder what the price point is where people will stop paying for the convince and just do it themselves because it costs too much. I would’ve thought most people reached that point but apparently not.
