  • This show was waaaay more fucked up than Golden Girls.

For instance, The Golden Girls had an episode where they track down a jean jacket that leads them to Micheal Jackson tickets and the concept of the elderly becoming homeless. It’s a serious episode where political issues take a center stage…

Compare that to a show about a couple of women repeating a LOT of southern racist tropes… or the fact that an entire character was a 90s gay stereotype.

  • At this point I’m starting to think that paying her off is the point. Everything else is collateral damage to things they don’t care about anyways. If you’re willing to hire this woman, stuff like “journalistic integrity” doesn’t matter to you. Plus you get to knock down your claims of “liberal bias” in the news, and friends of friends get a legal payout to pay them back for lying about the election and Biden.

Little bit of controversy, “liberal bias” takes a knock, storm then blows over and a total piece of shit just so happens to walk away paid off.

  • Yea but that would have required NBC execs to not actively subvert any newsworthiness the network had in the first place. I’m starting to think there is a conscious effort to do the opposite, possibly just to legitimize payouts to fascists.

It’s really weird how frankly corporate-centrist news orgs keep getting purchased and then “both sided” by execs who inevitably saddle them with insane far right fascists under the false pretense of “balance”. Look at what happened with CNN… it’s not like CNN was some socialist rag, they just didn’t actively lie like Fox News. So apparently that meant they needed to be sold to new owners who want more Jan 6 level BS, “Biden Crime Family” BS etc. all in the name of “balance”. In the context of many stories like that, it’s hard to see what happened at NBC as an accident.

It’s almost like any idiot could look back at Jan 6, at Fox News and the Dominion lawsuit, and say “that’s definitely not the proper actions of a news org, but even still it’s clearly bad for the bottom line.”

Instead NBC execs looked at people smearing shit on the capitol and said “that’s a political viewpoint we are just not representing enough.” Or a small group said “fuck this liberal noise let’s give her her dues.”

For some reason they felt very compelled to bring on someone who may cause them to absorb the risk of a BS conspiracy theory that already cost another network billions in court fines.

  • There is also the very real fact that these third parties and their candidates have never accomplished a single policy goal while consistently getting republicans elected; the only accomplishment lyndon larouche or jill kelly have is shifting the odds right.

They never have a collaborative mindset, but instead a separatist / contrarian approach to supposedly a difference of political opinion, by the very nature of their party they are not trying to work with liberals they are going their own way knowing full and well they won’t win… why?

Meanwhile Bernie worked with and endorsed the Democratic Party and successfully shifted the current administration leftward with significant legislative policy accomplishments to show for it.

  • The article: let’s construct a false image of city dwellers having a false image of rural dwellers to absolve rural dwellers of any personal responsibility.

It completely ignores how much they voted for and continuously cheered on their own economic demise and acts as if poverty only exists in the country and no one has ever suffered similar hardships in an urban setting.

The article got one thing right, THEY LOST THEIR MINDS.

They’ve lived through how many republican administrations yet it’s everyone else’s fault? Republicans have continuously gotten their way… reagonomics, 3 terms from the bush family, Donald trump…and things are demonstrably worse off. You cannot look at America and say the issue is that it was at any point NOT conservative enough.

All while these sensitive rural voters call the rest of the country “out of touch”. They aren’t bad people but holy shit how much do we need to coddle these children while this happens?
