With Trump for example, think about how many millions of people support him despite him being a complete stranger to them. They will defend him to (literal) death despite never once meeting or exchanging a single word with him. This support exists because of what they feel when they think of Trump and these lies are designed to make them feel that way. The same is true for all politicians.

Ive been summoned a few times but only picked once for a single day trial. I showed up at 8am and drank shitty coffee and ate snacks while watching HGTV on a big screen in the jury room. About 2 or 3 hours later the judge came in to tell us that the defendent had taken a plea deal, so we could go home. I got a check for $12 some weeks later and don’t have to serve again for a year or two.
All in all not too bad, and my work paid me my full wage for the day for doing my civic duty.
The summons prior to that was for a grand jury, which I didnt realize at the time and also got the dates mixed up so I didnt actually show up. I really lucked out here because for the grand jury, you have to serve for two weeks straight. When I realized I had the days wrong I was able to call and get it sorted out which lead to the above summons in which I was called, but according to the law, I technically could have been thrown in jail over missing the summons.

This is my biggest complaint witn it. I subbed to some of these communities when I first joined lemmy but quickly realized that there was no point in reading these discussions because I couldn’t participate on the reddit side and nobody was commenting on the lemmy side, so why even bother?
My server is also running an Intel chip so maybe I’ll play around with using that instead. How is your performance? I have six cameras running but frigate only sees the lower bitrate streams as I have a standalone NVR in the mix already. All I use it for is object detection so that I can get notifications when someone approaches the house via Home Assistant.
I decided to try the LXC route as I also have Immich running in a separate LXC and wanted to share the Coral with both and AFAIK you can’t share resources between multiple VMs (though I’m pretty green with Proxmox/Linux based systems)

I restored from a backup from months ago when I’m sure it was still working and didnt have any luck, but thinking about it now this may have been before I had solved the issue with the Coral not being found. I’ll try that again tonight when I get back to the server.
I tried different levels of reboots from frigate to portainer to the LXC and finally the host running Proxmox as part of the troubleshooting with the Coral then again once I got it connected and still didn’t have any luck.
Is that the one about how he’ll be “watching you” because Jesus is always watching?
