I agree. Here’s the thing that stresses me out with reading about historical context and mistakes other leaders have made about atrocities like this.
There isn’t always historical pretext. New things happen. And this could be just how it always is, for at least our lifetimes. The only option is fighting back somehow. But all the organizing I’ve done for the last 10 years have barely done shit.

Okay but the reason they all do it today is because they went to the same rich people colleges and courses. The reason those courses teach these things may have historical background, but that’s not what we’re referring to here.
I just cannot fathom the level of inhumanity it takes, even in war, to do something like this. To see a prisoner raped and think that the right course of action is to persecute the person who brought it to light. These people are evil.
