(He/Him) I think I tend to talk too much.
I like city building games and puzzles. I like other things as well, but that’s not important right now.

I don’t know but my first assumption would be that thia ia just a symptom of the zoomer ghosting epidemic. Even in a professional context, zoomers a year younger than me have always displayed this incredible inability to respond to important text messages. (Can’t stop grumbling about this to anyone I know LOL)
If you want a really wild explanation consider that, if you’re really not supposed to be there, the police are catfishing for adults who want to date 17 year olds. They see you, check if you’re real, and have no purpoe to caffish you,

Yeah if I’m cooking for myself it’s over too quickly and i have less appetite

I totally agree with this. I prefer to cook for others because the process of serving it out gives a cooldown from standing over the oven and inhaling the food, and so i usually enjoy it more.

See it used for “jam lids” (any jar lid actually, lol) or other packaging because those things can be complex to tell if you’re opening it correctly, so by saying “depress” it tells you to press but then simultaneously describes what happens as it is pressed (it goes down) so you know if you’re getting anywhere in the process. This is why it’s been observed more in technical documents, as rljkeimig notes.

I think it’s used for when something is kept lowered for a bit - so yes, some buttons, but most notably Jam Lids and Levers. Many buttons spring back up at you so those are just presses or taps

Where is anti-hierarchy useful, or “flat-hierarchy”?
Well, basically in all the places you already see it: Small or Medium sized businesses comprised only of very educated professionals, who are therefore better at managing themselves rather than being managed by someone from outside of their field. (E.g engineering designers, graphic designers)
Allotment associations
University departments/colleges. Secondary school departments.

Hierarchies are good to have if
Hierarchies can be good if there is real movement up and down a hierarchy according to skill level - a good army for instance does not succumb to nepotism when assigning posts, but Judges only on merit.
Hierarchies and other constraints are useful in politics to ensure that decisions are reached quickly. The Netherlands, which has dozens of small parties and a very level playing field between all of the parties. Had multiple elections within a short time frame and was unable to choose a PM in their last (or penultimate) election.

I think it’s not even the fundamental flaws that make it so bad (they could theoretically be worked-around or fixed), I think at some point the system was captured by a group that to this day ensures both parties remain ineffectual and operate towards the same war goals.
Saying “the whole thing is a pantomine” seems like a lazy throwaway remark from some stranger you meet at a bar or your disillusioned uncle, and yet it’s exactly the conclusion you have to come to. We are controlled by the illusion of democracy and illusion of own influence
To have created the universe, God has to exist outside of / independently of it. Therefore probably not made of atoms.
Fun fact - according to most christian thinkers/speakers I’ve listend to, this makes Christianity incompatible with pantheism (the belief that God is the universe, often referred to as “we are the universe experiencing itself”).
ETA:
same would apply for various other religions, christianity is the one i’m most familiar with

No idea - maybe the best way of contacting him now is to ask someone else you knew from school to reach out to him.
Maybe he just forgot/mixed up your name, mistaking you for someone else he went to school with.
Maybe he doesn’t get messaged on facebook a lot, so you reminded him that it exists and he decided to delete it - i know i historically had no space for it on my phone so I got rid of it.

Ah he’s just more charismatic, you know? You have to give the judge a firm handshake and speak in an obnoxious way, stuff like that.
The existence of gluten allergies is so very unfair. I hope you’re feeling better now, the symptoms are just horrible

Swordgeek has already answered in a reply to a reply but it’s because Erika is the most popular marching song used by nazi germany… i don’t believe it originated in nazi germany, but rather earlier in germany’s history, since the melody was also used by finland.
Those commenters will generally be people who were searching for the german march and found that instead. Or it had a shout-out on a RW instageam page for sharing the song title.

I would recommend managing it by both browser and via an app - If not on your phone, a tablet or some laptops will do (i think)
TL;DR Instagram is rigged for people with cutting edge high functioning smartphones who post Instagram reels&stories. If you only want to post images you can use the browser but your page won’t attract as many people.

I do wish people wouldn’t treat a good university performance as essential to their self worth though

Honestly never. The problem is that if you have other stuff in your life that takes priority, like a family, you might not pull your weight OR you might not understand how to manage time. This can happen to people of any ages; kids with family issues or disruption in their home life see a dip in school performance, for instance.
Don’t worry about it, in places like Instagram and YouTube - even twitter and R*ddit - people are leaving comments like “bro said [thing previous commenter said]”
And that’s fine! Let’s be social and authentic and just happy that there aren’t bots pretending to be people here
I think OP is right to be concerned, because while we don’t have karma like reddit (thank god), supposing someome was browsing old posts in a comm[unity] they might utilise the “Top of all time” filter or even the “most controversial of all time” filter - if our OP here makes a particularly useful post, e.g about a tech support issue - then I’m pretty sure having extra downvotes will actually reduce the reach and visibility of the post, using these filters.
Also in this case it was just useful because it exposes someone acting in bad faith on the fed.
