The only people that don’t use tap to pay in my area are grannies. And you do seem very old school since the last time I saw an aux cable was 10 years ago.

I don’t give two shits about football or anyone pirating it, the problem is that they block a bunch of websites that have nothing to do with that. They had a similar idea last year when they wanted to completely block telegram in the whole country because some degenerates were sharig cp using the platform. The scorched earth policies are not just mildly annoying.
I know it’s kind of a trend but I think that is the case because so many people identify with it.
I wouldn’t have cared about the label itself it if wouldn’t have come with a vast amount of knowledge and explanations for many aspects of my life. This is why I cared about this and why I talk about it with others, because deep diving into the topic has helped me learn a lot more about myself more than anything else in my life and it explains many of my interactions with others as well as other peoples behaviours.
And to be honest many of the struggles of people on the authism and ADHD spectrum are not really something that can be solved with typical self improvement tactics, it’s something to manage or maybe to medicate, but if you haven’t found out that you fit the label it would be impossible to figure this out.
Think about your average Joe/Joanne. Are they someone who are willing to go against the status quo? Are they someone always ready to try new things? Are they someone not afraid to express themselves and be an actual individual?
That’s why it’s called normal because it’s the most widespread, but I agree with you, normal is not something I want in my life and that already puts me on a spectrum somewhere.
This is just my opinion. Lemmy doesn’t conform to many of the current standards of reduced friction for the user. Before joining you have to figure out that there are more than one servers that you could join and make a decision which one you want to be on and depending on your choice you have to take a mini interview and/or be approved by someone to join. After joining you probably either deal with an ugly page design that someone created like in the hi5/GeoCities days or you have to choose one of the milion apps that are available for it. While browsing you have to figure out that there are duplicate communities and figure out which ones you want to subscribe to and figure out what kind of sorting works best for you on your main page. And in order to discover more communities you go to All where you see a bunch of unhinges stuff that either you learn how to block or you ignore.
By the time you are having a seamless experience you have truly past the test of being somewhere on the spectrum, because no normal person will ever put up with all this, as could be seen with the user gain of mastodon vs bluesky after Twitter went to shit. The platform with less friction even though more closed and proprietary gained more users.
In recent years we’ve come to the conclusion that autism is much broather than previously understood and than many more people fall om its’ spectrum. People that have an account on a platform like Lemmy are automatically highly probably autistic in some way because or the barrier to entry and specific interests that normal people wouldn’t even bother with.
I beg you, please take care of yourself if it’s needed, take time off, relax, get help from others. I think you have a philosophy to not take money out of the donations, but speaking as one of the contributors, I think that’s unfair considering the amount of work you put in.
What I’m saying is just do what it takes to not let it lead to burnout. I don’t think anyone that understands the value of this instance would mind.
This being unsustainable has been a discussion point for years at this point and yet they keep on fighting while it feels like western society is slowly collapsing.
Then how are sooo many millions of people supporting him even now.
The biggest forum style ones are https://forocoches.com/foro/forumdisplay.php?f=2 & https://www.meneame.net/ But also algorithm driven ones like Instagram and tiktok.
Spain had smaller presence on Reddit as well. They tend to keep to other spanish speaking forums, often shared with Latin America.
Basically because there are so many Spanish speakers in the world, spaniards don’t even bother to learn English or interact with the broader internet.
Honestly, joining a community just for the type of content they have or what they filter is useless. Best approach for me is to have access to everything and then filter what you don’t like by yourself.
Hasn’t been updated for a while unfortunately.
I used it until recently thinking the same, but it just became too broken for me. I’m on thunder now and I got it to work exactly the way I used sync and everything seems to actually be working.

I specifically remember looking up tables of who defederates from who and what instances allow NSFW or downvoting because this was an issue among some of the top instances back then.
I ended up making 4 different accounts over 2 months until I landed on a server I’m happy with. That will never be acceptable to any normal user.
Every time someone brings up these issues, people here downplay them like you are doing it right now and nothing is ever done about it.
I was in a similar situation as you, with an existing docker solution, looking for something easier to manage. Yunohost had this hype behind it that I couldn’t resist. At first it did seem easier with the official apps, but as soon as I needed anything outside the set boundary the dream collapsed. The final nail for me was not being able to get smb working.
Good thing I had kept my docker setup safe so it was easy to revert to it. It’s more of a pain, but it’s also more versatile and capable so I have no better choice at the moment. Portainer helps a lot.
That adults had it figured out.
That average people actually care about anything but themselves.
That there is justice in the world.
I want the Steve Irwins of the world that would only pursue the money in the benefit of the animals, not of their own pockets to run the zoo. Most productive and valuable people are not the richest but those truelly passionate that would even do it for free if it would’t ruin their lifes.
Overseerr doesn’t seem to be developed much anymore. Technically, these are for request management and for general search you would use prowlarr. In reality, if you don’t want to play administrator for other users using Sonarr or radarr directly is easier and more reliable. You can tell that the whole stack was created by random disjointed developers and not a main UX designer because everything about it is very obtuse.
