He’s one of the biggest and most loved youtube personalities. He has influence, and him saying this kind of stuff is a big deal. Pretending he’s a nobody shows that you’re simply ignorant.
That would literally be the best this to happen to this god forsaken platform. There isn’t nearly enough users, diversity of content, or sheer volume to make this place a genuine alternative to Reddit. Getting an influx from a huge youtuber like him means this place might finally get active communities for mainstream hobbies like sports, music, and videogames.

That’s because we have no sensible regulation in place. These tools are supposed to regulated the same way we regulate other tools like the internet, but we just don’t any serious pushes for that in government.
AI is the opposite of crypto currency. Crypto is a solution looking for a problem, but AI is a solution for a lot of problems. It has relevance because people find it useful, there’s demand for it. There’s clearly value in these tools when they’re used the way they’re meant to be used, and they can be quite powerful. It’s unfortunate how a lot of people are misinformed about these LLM work.
LLM AI chatbots were never designed to give life advice. People have this false perception that these tools are like some kind of magical crystal ball that has all the right answers to everything, and they simple don’t.
These models cannot think, they cannot reason. The best they could do is give you their best prediction as to what you want based on the data they’ve been trained on and the parameters they’ve been given. You can think of their results as “targeted randomness” which is why their results are close or sound convincing but are never quite right.
That’s because these models were never designed to be used like this. They were meant to be used as a tool to aid creativity. They can help someone brainstorm ideas for projects or waste time as entertainment or explain simple concepts or analyze basic data, but that’s about it. They should never be used for anything serious like medical, legal, or life advice.
You probably think this is a galaxy brain gotcha, when in reality it just shows you’re incapable of comprehend the concept of context. I gave an opinion. You can either agree or disagree. I don’t have a disdain for ad homs if they actually come attached with something. Whether it’s an argument, explanation, rebuttal, literally anything. But if the ad hom is used as a replacement for substance then is it meaningless and fallacious, but also shows a great deal of intellectual laziness.
I agree that it shouldn’t affect existing family units, but at the same time this isn’t anything unusual. The non biological parent has to go through the normal adoption process to be considered a legal guardian. The same thing should apply to heterosexual couples where one, or both, of the parents aren’t the biological parents of the children.
I don’t worship youtubers, I’m just not braindead enough to deny reality because of my myopic personal preferences. This guy has a 110 million subscribers and his every video has been getting millions of views for well over a decade now. He is one of the biggest and most well known people on the internet, and he has a lot of influence because of it. When this guy puts out a video about a cause, his point of view is going to introduced and adopted by a lot of people. In this case, he put out a video on a cause that people in here advocate for, and they’re pleasantly surprised that their views are getting this kind of exposure. You not understanding this obvious nuance is your problem, not anybody else’s.
