Maybe try to ween them off cable by cutting down to ultra basic cable. Still have access to local news.

It doesn’t matter your age, put up a bird feeder and you’ll soon hate squirrels. You spend $40 on a bag of seed and they’ll scoop out all the stuff that they don’t want to get to the stuff they do want. Seed on the ground attracts animals you don’t want like rodents or Canadian geese that shit all over. I found it easier to pay the squirrels off like the mafia. Buy a bag of corn or cheap peanuts and sprinkle some around to appease the bastards. It sucks but it’s worth it in the long run.
Does your club meet regularly? Once a week, once a month? It’s important to keep it regular. Predictability makes it easier for people to make it a routine. Meet on the same day of the week. Don’t change it to accommodate anyone. People have their own lives, don’t be hurt if they don’t show. Also know that people often will say they are interested but not follow through, that’s normal.
Meetings need to have a framework. I recently joined a club that begins each meeting by having the secretary read the minutes from the last meeting. Then they address old business and new business. The main body of the meeting is usually a guest speaker. After that members have time to check out a book from the library, pay dues, order hats or shirts.
Every organization needs a leader. It’s never going to be 100% self maintaining. That doesn’t mean you have to do all the work but you’ll have to delegate responsibilities to volunteers. Don’t micromanage them. Be grateful and complimentary, nobody’s getting paid I assume. Be willing to accept things even though they didn’t turn out how you envisioned. They’ll be more willing to take projects on when you are supportive.
I hope this helps, good luck
Before cable news and before there was such an appetite for political news, real news sources were very diverse. Every newspaper had a sports section and an entertainment section. Also opinion was in the opinion or op-ed section. Nowadays I’m more leary of news sources that are strictly political news. Everyone has a Washington DC correspondent. Lots of news sites will buy all of their news outside of DC from a wire service or even sometimes their story is “reporting” what another agency is reporting. Maybe I’m just old and set in my ways but I prefer the traditional well rounded sources. Others just seem cheap and have an agenda
I had an infected tooth and the pain was awful. The dentist told me to take four ibuprofen. When I mentioned the instructions said no more than two at a time he said it was okay for a short period of time.
Loss of imagination, patience, optimism
I wear flannels
Scrap 4x4’s or bricks will suffice
A family member was eating nothing but fruit and really messed himself up. I forget exactly what happened but he lost muscle control on one side of his body.
From personal experience I see this as a red flag. If you are close with your family your partner should want to have a relationship with them too. Having them closer should be seen as a good thing.
I prefer to be liked as opposed to being disliked but I take pride when certain people dislike me
Lotsa butt hurt stuff there too
Not enough make believe legal phrases
I think you should ask your sister about this. It’s her job to take care of you. Should your mom find out not only will she be mad at you, she’ll be mad at your sister. Your mom might even find someone else to take care of you
About to turn 58 here. Can’t complain. I’ve led a pretty productive life, always stayed busy. No children, always taking on a new hobby. Backpacked frequently, kayaked, fished, always tried to learn something new. Kept a garden, built a garage bigger than my house, put up fences, remodeled my house plus a rental property. Doctor’s assistants would tell me I had the heart rate of a professional athlete or something like that. However a few years ago I slowed down dramatically. Gained 30 pounds. Back hurts more often, sore muscles don’t heal as fast. Use it or lose it as they say. I still have most of my teeth and all of my thick luscious hair so there’s that haha. Yes I do view my life in chapters. I’ve stayed the same person but have grown less optimistic
Your work ethic is your own. Don’t let others bring you down to their level. If anything be a leader by lifting them up. Yeah nobody wants to be taken advantage of, I’ve been there. Quick personal story: my friend got me a job working for his parents business as he can’t keep up with the work load. Turns out he is a lazy bum, job is easy he tells me I have to do all the work. I use my anger constructively. I do all the work without bitching. Get a hundred times better at it than him. Embarrass him in front of his parents. Get everything I want. Basically I run the show. Hopefully your supervisor sees your worth if not find someone who does. Good luck
The one when it was my job to carry the crackers for communion up to the alter. About a half dozen slid off the plate when I turned.
Not me but an HVAC associate I dealt with. We had a shared customer that was a Masonic Temple. HVAC guy had to tour the building checking steam traps. Caretaker of the place is visibly uncomfortable as he has to unlock a door. Inside is an altar with a skeleton on it
I’ve donated blood and plasma and each time I’ve been offered rewards but don’t bother claiming them. I do it to help others. My job pays me enough to live on.
