Just want to say this it sucks that you’re experiencing issues with something that should be so easy, always frustrating when something like that happens. Can assure you it’s not an issue with Mint though, hopefully this doesn’t put you off from using such a great distro.

Even suggesting REDACTED repulses the people who it would serve the most. Completely uninformed and lack of critical thinking.

Because of Atomic right?

hey, if you type in your pw, it will show as stars
********* see!
What about yours?
Linux Mint is terrific, also recommend it to new Linux users. I just want things easy, clean, and fast. Also, fuck Microsoft.
Debian + KDE

This thread is everything I needed to convince me to leave instead of fight.

Absolutely and agreed. We need people much more adept than me at conveying this information to the people that need to hear it.

I encourage you to not be so black and white by your definition of “fighting”. I consider most* forms of resistance as fighting, not just violent ones. We’ll take whatever we can get as far as that is concerned, but you can’t deny that it will ultimately take physical resistance as well. Some have the capacity for both.

If you don’t plan to help at all then yes, might as well stick your head in the sand. It doesn’t matter if you pay attention or not if you don’t offer any form of resistance. Indifference is the default response for a significant portion of Americans and it’s a huge part of the problem.
The deck is stacked against us, no doubt. But we can look to historical examples of what happens if you don’t fight Nazis coming into power, and I refuse to be one of those examples.
There really are only two pragmatic options at this point. Fight or leave. Anything else is a waste.

I have been using Linux Mint and it has been an incredible experience. No crashes, everything works out of the box, gaming has been a breeze, and the desktop looks and functions exactly the way I want. Really excited for everyone switching over!
(I know mileage will vary per user.)
Dating is an attempt to find your best friend who you just so happen to be sexually attracted to. The important part is friendship. Adjacent to this is the fact that you have to be friends with yourself too. You stand literally zero chance at this if you are self-loathing, lack self-esteem, hold hate in your heart for yourself/others.
If you aren’t genuinely looking for your best friend when attempting to date then you will always be miserable. Don’t even think about sex, let that come later huehue.
I’m not going to bother looking through your post history or anything, but yeah based on what you’ve said here you have a lot of work to do on yourself. My advice is to try and make the right decisions EVERY DAY. Be the best form of yourself, the most likeable version, even if you don’t feel like doing that. You will eventually become that.
