That’s not the wisest course of action here Drag. Having a gun makes you a target for more than just bigots. It’s a death sentence in some areas - people will pull on you just to steal it, or cops will notice it and gun you down without warning or reason. There are far more effective and safe things we can do to protect ourselves/dragself.
I’ve been using Plex hosted on a Mac Mini for years, multiple hours every day, and have never had issues like this. I hope you’re able to figure it out.
I knew it, I’m surrounded by Assholes!
I once lived in a town of around 1,000 people. It had everything I needed in walking distance - a grocery store, doctors office, pharmacy, post office, restaurant, bar, and mechanic. A beautiful bike trail and river ran through the town. Fiber Optic internet was available, and there was a medium-sized town 15 minutes away with good jobs.
I just checked and the average home price is still around 100k. A 2br apartment rents for $750/mo. These places still exist, but they’re called hidden gems for a reason.
Something I never see mentioned is the risk of “brain drain”. If you tax the rich too heavily, there’s a possibility that they’ll just move to another country with lower taxes, taking their companies (and jobs) with them.
Yes, in fact I see one now.
I disagree - it feels like Lemmy is seeing the same kind of shills that 4chan saw in the last several elections. These bad actors are trying to sway dems to vote third party or not vote at all “in protest” across many small and large online spaces.
Can guys get a boner on purpose?
I think “nsfw” in itself is a good description - “not safe for work”. I would be embarrassed or reprimanded at work if I scrolled past pictures of gore, extreme violence, nudity, or sexually suggestive anime girls, so those should be marked nsfw.
Step 1. Get Friends.
That seems to be the hardest part. :(
Cooking. Let’s all just cook one big meal each week and split it among 6 other people, and receive 6 meals in return.
Absolutely I care, and I want all of the details and pictures. It brings me great joy to see my homies living exciting lives, and I’m thankful to be part of that. With children, especially - they feel like nieces and nephews and I am inherently invested in their wellbeing and success, even for long-distance friendships in which I’ve never met the kiddos.
I don’t have any family of my own, so my Will and estate is divided amongst my friends, and those with kids are allotted a bigger piece of the pie so they can put it towards their college or whatever when I die.
There’s plenty of diversity if you join boards focused on them, like LGBTQ communities. I think the defaults just lean excessively into the demographic you described.
Everything about the book is just dull and frustrating.
Catcher in the Rye. I try it again every couple of years just to see if I can relate to it, and nope - it’s still just as stupid as the first time I read it.
Security patches and rare bugs that most people don’t run into, mostly
Advocating for violence, really?
