They could have saved even more by not putting batteries in them, or motors… Man, these things coulda had a way bigger profit margin!

To what end?
Many people view “looks” with a strong filter of personality. So being active, funny, nice, kind, etc. would actually, really, make you look more attractive to people.
Dress well, stay clean, get fit, improve yourself as much as possible. But do these things to make yourself a better person, not with an ulterior motive.
Sorry, you didn’t subscribe to NATO+, so you get un-skippable ads in your radar screens. Hopefully nobody fires any missiles while you watch 3 of the exact same 15 second ads for RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS
I understand how you feel, but reading your story, I think when you were grabbing the product and telling him to “just drop it an leave” is what ended your career.
It sucks, you got attacked, but you don’t need to trade your personal safety for some store product.
Just based on this story here, where you are giving a very one sided view of the situation, you intentionally put yourself at risk and kept escalating. I hate that a criminal put you in a situation where you ended up getting fired, but there was more than one mistake here.
Nailed it right here. West was a perfectly good Batman for his time, but Keaton is fantastic and aged well. No one else comes close.
It’s a very visible thing when people do it. It’s not common where I’m from, but if 1,000 other people go to a store, then just one person leaving a cart in an awkward place pisses off 999 others.
It doesn’t take much to make it seem like a lot of people are being inconsiderate, when it’s much more likely that a small minority of people have a very wide reaching emotional impact.
Back in the before times, they two parties worked together quite fine in the backroom dealing, and only blustered when there were cameras, or the public, around.
Now that garbage is leaking into the backroom dealings, and it shows.
They’re claiming the Office of the President doesn’t technically fit into any of the offices listed in the 14th amendment.
The office of the president is a weird one. For example, the president is the commander of the military, but is not a part of the military. The president is a civilian position (and technically, the president shouldn’t be saluting troops.) So if the president violates the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but not a civilian law, they couldn’t be tried for that.
CLEARLY the 14th amendment would include the president, but lawyers do what lawyers do.
So, the biggest tech of 2023 is a bunch of promises of things coming soon?
Doomerism is very in right now, but lots of things are getting better. It’s hard to see through all the social media, but if you curate your feeds to things like science and educational information, you can see all the wonderful things people are learning and making.
Sure, there are a lot of selfish, shitty people out there making a lot of noise, but in the background, there’s the same great people just chugging along making things better.
Just chug along with them and vote for the people that align with your values, and do the best you can.
Like Mr. Rogers used to say, when you see bad things happen, just look for the helpers. The first thing that always happens after a tragedy, is people line up to help. It’s our natural instinct.
No, that would be an awful thing to do. You have to allow people to zealously defend themselves from any accusation. Also, in the US, the fifth amendment protects the citizens from being forced to testify against themselves. So punishing someone for pleading not guilty would directly violate the 5th amendment.
Can’t anymore, there are too many to give that much coverage.
Louisiana has a completely different type of law than the other 49 states, so I think it would be a good contender for difficult bar exam.
I wonder if a 6.5mm would be within tolerance to be compatible with 1/4" plugs.
Because requiring blond hair and blue eyes would, by definition, exclude people based on race.
Just about any dog can do it, as long as you can find a good reward system for the dog. Mine loves playing fetch, so once we find the person we’re looking for, that person gives her lots of attention and fetch play.
It took a lot of work, and a lot of help from other people, but she’s really good at it now.
Tracking lost humans
Taught my dog to smell a clothing item, and she can distinguish the right person and follow the footfalls that person walked. She is pretty reliable up to about 18-36 hours old depending on weather conditions.
Maybe add “that can be understood by most experts in the relevant field of study living today” to those questions, cause you might get something incomprehensible in the response.
That’s literally why they said they don’t connect them to the Internet. Just get a separate streaming service and forget about updates or internal software.
He’d go on the news and talk about how nobody knew that’s how prisoners were treated, and that he’s the first person in history to understand how bad prison is.
After spending an overnight stay in county jail.
