Considering how many people I’ve heard here in the states say without a lick of irony that we should nuke China/Russia/insert middle eastern nation here for insert reasons here, as if the world’s biggest hammer will fix any situation, I think Americans are just obsessed with death to an unhealthy degree. Hell, growing up in the heyday of the Bush years, I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve heard kids in my class say that themselves.
Once dropped a machete and instinctively tried grabbing it mid-fall as if it were my phone.
Still got the scar 10+ years after the fact lol
I use a 20+ year old PDA for notes and other general productivity/organization needs. Distraction free, keeps me off my phone, and a fun conversation piece. Handy for staying on top of my ADHD.
I will encourage ya to try making the effort wherever and whenever you can. Even just five minutes today can save half an hour weeks down the line.
I’ve a friend from high school whose parents are disabled and struggle with keeping up with the routine chores, and she herself suffers from bad depression and executive dysfunction.
Their house is in such a state now that we’d need to get our entire friend group up there to spend multiple days across multiple weeks to get it cleaned, organized, and fixed up. Flies everywhere, food rotting in the fridges, pet hair and dust everywhere, the works. It’ll be doable, but it’s gonna be a whole thing we gotta do.
Hope I’m not shaming ya here, I promise that ain’t my intent here - just hoping that our situation can inspire somebody else to prevent themselves ending up in the same spot.
My go to when I’m suicidal is the Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails. It’s the perfect album when I need to feel okay with not being okay. Also gives my depression a name and a face that I can insult and yell at when my brain is being mean to me.
Or if you were Bob “17 sugars with me tea” Mortimer.
I did the same for a while before the Stalker nerd in my lizard brain bought an AI-2 aid kit, gutted it, and converted it into a personal aid kit.
YOU SAY THAT - and are totally right - but that does bring back that memory I’ve got of seeing an utterly disgusting beer brewing kit being sold in the box for $10. The entire store smelled like decay.
British English term for wrenches.
Just contributed myself, and subbed. Always looking for a good jam after a good smoke.
Find a stoner buddy whose autistic special interest is music and music history. You’ll have endless recommendations for cool shit.
Source: One of my best mates’ autistic special interest is music and music history.
As for me personally, I like looking up music and genres specific to local areas, particularly those from other cultures. Afrobeat’s been big on my mind ever since I discovered it, and I’ve been having good luck searching through old Zamrock albums.

The Bark and Below It by the Olivia Tremor Control.
Good luck to ya.
Non-joke answer, I’d be curious to hear what kinda lyrics you could give to Hang Up Your Hang Ups by Herbie Hancock.
Xbox: Good, short, sweet, memorable. Xbox 360: Odd, but different name, referring to the console being meant to be used as an all in one media center. Xbox One: Confusing since people were calling the original Xbox the Xbox 1. Xbox Series X: whyyyyy
Playstation: Just increment the number, mate.
“Knew 'em? He was delicious!”
Music From the Unrealized Film Script: Dusk at Cubist Castle, by The Olivia Tremor Control. This album is so good it almost hurts.
Just using it as a streaming machine.
He’s just using it for streaming, figured it having a built in screen would help significantly with the limited space in his flat.
Last I’d used Tidal it was still glitchy, missing artists I fancy, with incorrect dates and covers for a number of other artists I like. I’m still on Spotify for now, but with ad-free clients on both my phone and laptop. Is Tidal any better than it was 4 years ago?
