Hmmm, no, couldn’t be the climate change we’ve been warned about for decades, it’s the chemicals the pilots are spraying secretly! If people are really dumb enough to eat this up, we’re fucked.

There’s this super dangerous one called H2O, apparently if enough accumulates in the atmosphere it will start to rain!
Turtle WoW is great, I’m dreading Blizzard shutting it down though. I’m hoping they avoid them but I feel their upcoming remastered client might attract too much attention.
It’s always been this way with Nintendo, even way back. I did a backlight mod to an original DMG-01 Gameboy yesterday and they used tri-wing screws to secure the case, those things suck and are only used to keep consumers out.
Yeah that egress training is horrible, never done it myself but know a few who have. Starts off relatively easy, until they flip it upside-down and turn off the lights to simulate night. Even the strongest swimmers have trouble.
Also lost a high school friend when they jumped in to save someone struggling in a lake and were pushed under. The person they were trying to rescue survived but they didn’t.
Yeah, first thing I thought was “Wait - again?!?”. That would have been one hell of a coincidence.
Someone else mentioned Habitica already, there are a few out there. I think they usually call it gamification. The only one I tried and was able to commit to was Walkscape (specifically gamifying getting out), although I’ve been slacking due to nasty winter weather.
Amphenol connectors. Used a ton in industry, military and aerospace. They are actually really nice when you get down to it, but you need expensive tools and the connectors themselves are usually quite expensive. I once had a client ask for a specific 6 pin one, only about the size of my thumb, it was $800.
Hi, not gay but bi and I spend a lot of time in LGBTQ spaces. I personally have not heard of this meaning anything specific. Chances are that it’s just a quirky / goofy expression that they like. I have a few friends who are not gay where every photo has a similar expression, it’s just something some people do I guess 🤷
I think what OP is trying to say is that people in their age range will end up being the last of those people, ie. the internet was one of their earliest memories and that happened to be right as it took off. A similar example from my age range, we will probably be the last to remember the WTC attacks. It’s one of the earliest memories I have. Not me specifically, unless I am graced with an incredibly long life, but someone around my age who is.
Yeah, there are a few options for cable covers but none that I think would be great here. Expando loom will stop cable abrasions, but probably not cat teeth. There’s split loom, but that is quite rigid and I think cats could bite through it still with enough will power. There are metal cable sleeves, but these usually aren’t for physical protection and are braided in the same way that makes expando loom a not great solution. I would try what someone else mentioned first and try coating the cable in a bitterant.
Yeah, it was a Da Vinci back around 2012 I want to say? It was at a robotics competition as an exhibit, I just happened to go past while it wasn’t busy and got to spend 5 minutes manipulating a little toy they had set up. It felt incredibly futuristic with the 3D display and finger controllers.
I got to try one of these surgery robots one time and it’s to this day probably one of the coolest things I’ve been allowed to control.
Wait - I sing “I Will Survive” for karaoke, what’s the deal with that? Does everyone now think I’m gay? Because they would be wrong, I’m actually bi.
31 terabytes? Amateur.
Reaminds me of this legendary Aussie. https://youtu.be/SoZ41i2dSIw?si=Er-JrpdsBLnMD5hH
Alberta within the last few months switched from a private company doing lab testing back to the old provincial run system, wait times for appointments went from over a month to a few days for me. And that celebrating was cut short by the fact they want to split up AHS now which is more likely going to screw up a bunch of our healthcare again.
This is bait or a joke, right? What a stupid take, you don’t have to play devils advocate for everything… Just being alive isn’t the biggest carbon footprint you can have, you can massively reduce or increase your contribution based on your voluntary actions. A oil executive probably has a much higher impact on carbon emissions from their choices in business when compared to, say, a monk. “Just go die if you want to save the planet” is not a reasonable solution and these people’s deaths are a tragedy that I hope the future looks back in disgust on.
I had 2 great finds so far:
1: A David Clark noise cancelling aviation headset. It was used and a bit old but still worked perfectly. I was a student pilot at the time and was using the cheap headsets the school had so this was an awesome find. I think whoever put the pricing on it saw the weird plugs without knowing what it was and priced it at $5. I remember seeing them on ebay used for around $600.
2: A old network drive full of pirated content and porn from the early 2000’s. I don’t know what the fuck teenage me was thinking hooking this up to my PC without any idea what was on it but it ended up being a hilarious find. I think it was shared between a bunch of roommates as each folder was named after someone. It was an IDE drive so I made a backup (for reasons), wiped it, and now use it in a PS2. Think that was around $5 also.
I have a Milton Bradley Microvision from around 1979, the first handheld game system that used cartridges. I have the block breaker game, it still works but I think some components are wearing out as the game speed feels way too fast. Thing takes 2 9V batteries!
