Listen cupcake, you wanted decentralized freedom. This is what it looks like. People you don’t agree with exist. Grow a pair and block them yourself.
Orrrr… get this; some people don’t think like you. Or give enough of a shit. Which is not a bad thing. Your elitist attitude on the other hand is shit.
Let it die. Things will die. Old members will get butthurt. New things will rise. This is the way of change. “Fragmented in 1000s of bubbles” is what the Fedverse is anyway from what I understand. Some of y’all are thinking to Reddit-y.
It’s almost as if Lemmy was a thing with a dozen or so users plus devs at most just a few days ago and is doing what they can with the influx of people. Be patient. And stop bitching. Nobody is forcing you to be here.
Every interaction I’ve had with Beehaw so far has reminded me of overlord Reddit mods that think they are god.
The official Reddit app is not as bad as some of you make it out to be. Still a thousand times more userfriendly than here if we’re being honest.
Why? Why should someone speaking the truth feel ashamed? Just because you are outraged doesn’t make what that post is saying true. Whether you like it or not Reddit will be unphased. Most of us will use both this and Reddit. VERY few of you are actually neckbeard angry. The rest of us are just here.
It doesn’t matter. They all feed into each other. Or don’t. Depending on your personal preference.
I get what you’re saying, but communities that spend time together will form their inside jokes, their way of doing things, etc. If you don’t like it you don’t have to participate. I say this with the upmost respect, but you need to get over yourself. Nobody is forcing you into a community.
Any influx like this is a clusterfuck. It’s just the way it is. But this community already feels good. And it seems like those on the backend are doing everything they can. So patience it is, because this could be great.
You don’t have to be condescending.
Taking some getting used to but it reminds me of very old school Reddit in a lot of ways. Feels good so far.
Downvotes from asshole Redditors usually means you’re doing something right.
