With you in the ability to smell. The only issue is I smell ALL THE THINGS. And it is overwhelming at times.

And one that is safe on the environment.

you should see what the eczema community put up with. Essentially it’s a community of just talking each other out of committing suicide because of how much pain they live with every day and the entire medical industry has failed them so miserably by dismissing them.

“Try the elimination diet” is the best they are given with absolutely no “why” or extension to find a better solution to allergies than either avoid the triggers (if you’re even lucky enough to find out what they are) or try a life threatening injection if your allergy gets severe.

Then you have the celiac community and what they have to put up with doctors: “eat gluten for 3 weeks without killing yourself so I can diagnose that you actually are intolerant to gluten”. The community has lovingly referred to this now as “the gluten challenge”…… which the medical community went as far as to take offence to the name. I wish empathy was taught as part of the curriculum for being a doctor.

My cat guards me while I’m on the toilet, ready to take on any predators while I’m in a vulnerable state. You can’t convince me they have less than complex emotions.

It’s crazy to me that the highest populated countries that are most affected by it by that article (China and US) are contributing the most to it (unchecked capitalism) and still refuse see their connnection to their own discomfort

Yeah it feels like a useless competition. They felt the need to be bragging of ‘winning’ against their customers or products. I didn’t come here to win. I came here to not fight with that nonsense.

They have plenty of fight in them to not have taxes snuck in on a price or hijack of an airplane or fuck around on public transit. Or kicking out a PM.

All things I see other countries pretty much bend over and take it like it’s medicine.

But yet they’ll throw stuff at the clerk if they take too long to ring them up or sneak in a tax at the register.

Or tossing out their PM at the drop of a hat.

Or someone trying to hijack a plane

Or drunks on the bus.

I think they are big on protesting. They don’t see it as whinging either. They see it as not putting up with shit.

it’s easy to just yell “hippie” at someone with healthy boundaries they feel threatened by.

There’s no good reason for that level of hoarding beyond need. Waste of the use of money. If there’s enough money to feed everyone and we can’t, there’s something wrong here.

There are no ‘alternatives’. We’re just users online visiting webpages. Some have preferences but you know can visit more than one page.

What is creepier is referring to an app or social network like it’s a monogamous relationship. Like a person is somehow considered cheating if they visit more than one webpage ever in their life. Or that they are anything more than just a user visiting one webpage like it’s a cult or something. Or that feedback on how a dev is going is treachery to the idea that they are supposed to be in a symbiotic relationship where it’s supposed to be unconditional love.

Y’all are weird. This is a social network. it’s not your/others entire existence. Maybe touch some grass.
