Exactly. My policy is following: I will put out my maximum, work unreasonable shifts, pull as much as possible only if the bossman is right there beside me. Of course, my experience is outside huge corporate environments and more in SME, but I will not give a single extra fuck if I can help it. Once you do, it becomes expected of you all the time. That’s on you. Don’t every let them know exactly how efficient you are. They’ll look to maximize what you initially offer, meaning they’ll load up more on you. Why not? You do more for the same amount of dinero. It’s probably too late for you at that job but now you know for the next one - always work at 80% capacity max.

I’m on sync, does it show? I mean, i already left (or at least think i have) lemmy.world. I’ll probably give lemmy a try, add few more instances internet recommends and really try to use it. If stuff like this continues, I’ll probably just delete sync and forget about lemmy completely.
This is basically why lemmy is a hassle. One shit gets blocked, you move and register then you learn these guys are alt-right or peddle child porn or some other bullshit and then you have to register again and again. It’s confusing and quite annoying.

But that’s the whole point. I started exploring it and learning about it and realized that it will take more time than it’s worth - by that time I completed it in Word and fixed it’s own citation issues manually. I really, really want these to be better than MS Word…but they just aren’t there yet.
Microsoft Office. I write a lot of documents that require contant citation and updates of sources, comments, etc. I have to review documents, create tables of content etc etc. Even though MS Office is far from perfect in many of these, free alternatives such as Libre or Open Office are just terrible.
