I don’t know if you don’t realize it, but you just agreed with the pithy quote.
I don’t know if you don’t realize it, but you just agreed with the pithy quote.
He asked that the state GOP revoke their endorsement of him. That’s something.
His previous comments imply some internalized homophobia, but this recent line of rhetoric from the Colorado GOP is obviously eliminationist, and he seems to have realized it. Maybe it leads to him more closely examining his previous attitudes, maybe it doesn’t.
I’m not saying he’s like, a good dude. Just worth noting that he found a line he wouldn’t cross.
You should just read what the Republicans will do if Trump is reelected.
They’ve published their plans, and I want exactly zero of any of the “policy” they plan on implementing.
The article says his department’s budget has increased by $270 million since newsom took office. Poor guy is underfunded!
I mean, he makes the rounds in the right wing grift-o-sphere somewhat regularly, has huge name recognition, and likely a very positive q score among maga types.
He probably doesn’t need any leftist outrage to win a primary in the right district.
Because Elmo demands that his people redesign the idea of a car from the ground up, just because he wants to prove he’s The Most Special Boy. Remember when they were having all those problems with power steering, and they were like, “hey, our company is basically brand new, we’re still working out some kinks.”
Like, power steering has been solved for a long time now, there’s no need to try to reinvent it.
I’m surprised that they haven’t released any cars with three, five, or six wheels yet.
A redundant concept.
Which big tech companies are trying to fight misinformation?
I think about it the other way: there are lots of people that are uninformed and apathetic, they didn’t like trump, but think there isn’t a big overall difference between the two old guys. Those are the people that need to understand how bad Trump is, and how good (in a relative sense) Biden is as the alternative.
They are incapable of embarrassment.
The reason you’re being some of these old guard Rs retiring, even far right ones like that rep from Colorado, is that they actually can feel something resembling shame. Guys like Jordan and Comer can’t.
The supreme Court has already ruled (deliberately incorrectly) that a candidate cannot be barred from running for federal office unless 2/3 of Congress declares them an insurrectionist.
(The original language of the amendment says that 2/3 of Congress is required to allow a former insurrectionist to hold office, the SC intentionally got it backwards to allow so the treasonous Rs, not just Trump, who participated in 1/6 to avoid consequences.
Biden would wipe the floor with Haley.
No, crypto is never the solution for anything. Its use cases are limited to drugs and scams, which are sometimes the same things.
The tea party was just a racist reaction to Obama. They pretended to be “fiscally responsible” old school conservatives, but they were in reality just obstructionists who used that excuse to try to sabotage anything that the Obama admin wanted to accomplish.
For defamation you have to prove that he lied, and that he knew he lied. Has nothing to do with qualifications or motivation.
Nice little write up on that Here
I don’t think healthy food is necessarily more expensive, at least not if you know what you’re doing. My personal experience is actually the opposite.
The problem, as you mentioned is the time, and the emotional and physical labor of figuring out something the whole family will want to eat and cooking it. Those things are all expenditures in their own ways, but not financial.
The article is more of an exploration of the consequences of the failure of the US to support Ukraine. Not sure why they went with that headline.
Facism and race “science” has always been the backbone of American conservatism. We are just in a period of time where they are more open about it. And honestly, they might not even be any more open about it, it’s just that social media makes it easier to see; legacy media has always been hesitant to call out the right’s racism, when when it overt.
The modern Republican party was literally founded on anti-black racism. We’ve all heard of the Southern Strategy by now, but it was in 1957 that the RNC started “Operation Dixie” which was aimed at recruiting white southern voters (Dixiecrats) away from the Democrats.
By 1970, you have Nixon’s GOP strategist saying this,
From now on, the Republicans are never going to get more than 10-20% of the negro vote… the more negroes that register as Democrats… The more the negrophobe whites will quit the Democrats and become Republicans. That’s where the votes lie.
Because if Biden can’t finish his term, a black woman will be president.
