It’s also cultural, when you go to a café or a shop or a restaurant in Paris, you go to someone elses place (theory is that as it’s so small in overcrowded Paris, it was actually someones home too and history made the rest), you are not some golden client and instead you are on their turf, so they can ask you to move, not serve you etc.

You have to manually update your folder (but that can obviously be automated) otherwise yes that’s it!

To help? I confess I’m a disaster for PR so I’m just doing my best, but if you’d set up a node that would really be helpful to iron out problems, and with feedback make the setup&usage simpler etc. For example, small files are shared “for free” (configurable) but if your folder is big (for example), then you need nodes in the network to want to share big things too.

You can obviously just put the links to bigger already shared data in the folder to make things smoother.

So trying it out and giving feedback would be fantastic!

I live here, as a foreigner, and sure the bureaucracy is wild as is the language but I haven’t felt what you’re conveying, especially in Paris where no one gives a damn if you speak english or anything, you could dress up in toilet paper and people wouldn’t care.

Gotta go look at some impressionist paintings and then go to the movies, after eating some good stuff, all on my modern bicycle.

On the countryside people are more like the common clay, but they are like that for everyone.

If you don’t speak the language you’ll hang out with other expats, which will just exacerbate the problems.

I think Tenfingers could be an interesting option as hosters do not know what they host, the data can be modified, and it’s 100% decentralised.

Allergies only get worse, so you want to deal with it ASAP before you, for example, get asthma from it. You might also have other allergies you haven’t “figured out” just yet.

Until you get the tests done, don’t let your dog sleep or be in your bedroom, better ofc not at your place at all :-/

Watch out for vacuuming, it doesn’t filter dust mites (dead dust mite “parts” are allergenic too) so it just fills the air with them and if you are allergic you’ll have a bad day. Sweep up the dust, or beg someone to vacuum for you (air everything lots during and afterwards).

Most of my information about the russian economy comes from different youtube channels, the food inflation being higher than the ‘close to 30% general inflation’ came, IIRC, from “Joeblogs” yt.
