There are social media videos I seen where the cheaper brands of ice cream no longer melt, even after days of sitting on the counter. Same for the cheap ice cream sandwiches. Days and they don’t lose their shape.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out they no longer need refrigeration beyond the preference of enjoying it cold versus warm.

Many parts of the EU often has North American travellers amazed how well they feel while eating *there during their vacations and how awful they feel when coming back to the north American diet. What’s a few chemicals many will say.

It just seems everything from bread to pasta, dairy, meat, desserts etc doesn’t seem to make you feel as awful as north American food can.

I love *Haagen Dazs vanilla bean ice cream. It’s not the cheapest but it’s one of the cleanest I can find among the big brands. Walmart etc usually has it the cheapest.

I wonder if the ruling against Google for paying apps etc to have their search engine be the initial default has eaten a lot of the funding Mozilla counted on

There doesn’t seem to be as much overflowing into non political communities here as at reddit where it’s just overflowing everywhere I find. I think it’s a reflecting of the anxiety many are feeling about the election. Hopefully it dies down in a couple of weeks.

I wonder if this means political officials can be sued and jailed for allowing homelessness.

Until they get every homeless person off the streets, they will be fined daily and if after 90 days they will be locked up?

Reminds me of Quebec. They wanted to separate from Canada but wanted to still use Canadian money and still have access to national Canadian programs.

I feel like an outsider on these debates. I totally agree we should be able to own forever.

In my case I find there is so much new TV and movies I rarely go back to re-watch shows or movies so owning them isn’t on my radar. It’s a challenge just to watch a whole series I find.

I’m wondering how often do people beyond kids re-watch movies and TV shows? Kids seem to be able to rewatch the same movies several times a day…

If I understand this correctly in my use case Assistant will get worse in my car with a aftermarket head unit. The mic isn’t that great on the radio and I’ve had better luck using the handset mic instead.

I have a couple of phones in use. 1 never answers which is fine as I have a display too, but the other answers every time I can do that if you unlock your device first.

I think people need to realize this is more prevalent within the conservative religious circles than they realize. Beyond the extremes of the rapture that’s been coming any day for decades, they want set their world right once and for all.

When they throw around terms like battleready there’s a outcome where they get to kick in the heads of those they don’t like and don’t want to exist without due process.

I’ve seen people argue the real numbers of the decline for China are much worse than they have shared and they may already be past the point of no return like Japan and South Korea. It’s going to be interesting to see how they handle an aging population.

Asia does have a more recent tradition of kids being the retirement plan so they might fair a little better than places like the US where that is not the norm anymore. The US with their infrastructure crumbling from underfunding and a general lack of care, should provide a good side by side comparison of the ride down with the differences of family versus industry support of seniors.

Well at least one of them is the Biggest Loser they have ever seen so they have that going for them
