Very detailed, and that explains a lot, thank you.

It’s ok, we have hamlets here too. I live in one!
That’s different from anything I’ve seen in the UK. Every house seems to be surrounded with lawns and so spread out, and yet you still need whatever that giant building with the green roof and car park is. Presumably a shop? Why’d you need such a big building for so few people? And why are all the houses detached with no terraces? Very strange…
(All of that was rhetorical, I’m sure it makes sense if that’s what you’re used to. And having more room to spread out and less history to deal with)
Cool, thank you
This is why I was confused. There’s no way that’s a town with so few people (from a UK perspective)
Very detailed, thanks :)
No thanks, America is already confusing enough 👍
Even if you just chuck them all in the bin for landfill, if it gets your space clean and gets you in a better mood, it’s worth it. Recycle when you can but don’t let your space become a mess just for the sake of recycling a few cans.
Just because airport scanners turn you gay, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to be gay.
There’s one person on Mars in that film but in reality there’s zero people on Mars. That’s a really small margin of error
Isn’t that the one about a nice spiral shape?
A lot of people are saying depression (which is true) but I’d also like to throw in stress. I like reading and playing strategy games, but I’m sometimes so stressed that I can concentrate enough to do these things. It helps to have some easy, no brain hobbies as well to help get started with relaxation, so you’re able to enjoy your main hobby after you feel a bit better
That’s what it is. It’s gloves for feet (and regular socks are mittens for feet)
The on-site police officer probably violently arrests you. And I’m only like 30% joking, from what I’ve heard of American schools
I was going to say burn it too.
My experience in the UK is similar. I’ve never had a good experience with a police officer, and I’ve been profiled for the clothes I wear, but I’ve also never been scared of a police officer (especially never scared for my life). I probably wouldn’t ask an officer for help, but I would also treat them like a person rather than a rabid dog who might just decide to shoot me
Give me an hour and I’m sure I could find a counter-example
Imprisonment would also deal with the “hating brown people” part.
She’s also 24 dating a 48-year-old so probably not the brightest 🤷
(sorry)
I’m in a similar situation - I badly hurt my best friend from school and we stopped talking. This was over a decade ago. I know from mutual friends that she’s moved away, she’s happy and has children now. Although I really regret how I acted, I think it’s best to just leave it in the past. No need to dredge up old pain for her just so I can feel better for apologising.
Idk if that’s the right answer, but it’s what I’ve chosen.
