Used to swear a lot, still swear but much less frequently.
The effect of swearing is fairly diluted, they’re used so often they don’t really carry any weight when you use them. I find that there are typically better ways to emphasize a point, and using them more sparingly makes them more effective.
Ducks. Masters of land, air, and water. Good ol’ duck, nothing beats that
I use a smart alarm app. It uses your mic to track your breathing, and uses that information to identify when you’re in deeper and lighter phases of sleep. You set a range of time for the alarm, and when it detects you coming out of a deep cycle it starts the alarm. I’ve always slept through alarms, and this works like a dream.
Yes, but different heat works with different flavors
I felt somewhat similarly about cream cheese in sushi, then I watched some video of a guy in Japan taking Americanized sushi to an old traditional sushi chef. When he liked the cream cheese, I unclutched my pearls a bit.
My wife puts the nearest hot sauce on everything. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate spice, but she has no regard for the flavor profile of the sauce or the food. Maybe your wife’s the same. I’ve been slowly trying to get her to pair her spice sources thoughtfully.
Tabasco is a sup-par hot sauce for most pizzas. Red pepper flakes are best in my opinion, and pack plenty of heat and flavor. I had some serrano basil sauces that went great with pizza, which I think could be expected with any sauce featuring basil. If you’re feeling fancy, Truff goes great on pizza too. If you’re going to do Tabasco, at least do the smokey chipotle.
Different sauces taste different, and pair differently with different foods. Some flavors synergize with a dish, some overpower it, and some clash. I wouldn’t say regular Tabasco necessarily clashes with pizza, but I think it usually overpowers the other notes. There are more delicious choices.
It’s a very tight script. There’s a lot going on, but everything goes together neatly. On the surface it’s a simple flick, but if you pay attention there are so many little pieces that slip into place. If you watch it a second time knowing everything, and pay particular attention to the little details and seemingly innocuous dialogue, it’s hard to ignore how elegantly the film comes together.
I found an article which goes into it more.
The best movie about time travel is Back to the Future. The best depiction of time travel in a movie is Primer
They’re green because they’re leaves. Leaves are green because of chlorophyll.
Reese’s are trash but the rest is on point. Personal opinion obviously
The only things I save scummed were getting Kim to dance and trying to open that bunker door. No regrets.
Femcels are a subset of incels
I’ve stopped smoking 3 times
Bitcoin showed up on my radar when they were worth pennies, but I was young and had no way to buy them and didn’t have a computer that could really mine them. Once I had the means to buy, I had no money. By the time I had a little extra money, they were already in the thousands.
Same story with Tesla. They weren’t public when they popped up on my radar, and when they made their IPO I had no money to invest.
As long as they can measure the frequency of the drive, some pervert is going to try to calculate the thing. Never underestimate the siren’s song of a familiar but tricky problem.
I’m still using an Creality Ender 3 for FDM because it was cheap and does the job, but a lot of great FDM printers have come out in the past few years at competitive price points. I use this for larger items where fine detail isn’t important (tabletop buildings, terrain, vehicles, large creatures, etc)
For resin I’ve got an Elegoo Mars 3 Pro, but anything 4k is going to give pretty good results. Keep in mind though, resin is more involved than FDM. You’ll need gloves and a VOC respirator to handle fresh prints, and I sprung for the wash/cure station to make my life easier. I use this for small prints with thin parts or fine details (character minis mostly).
FDM is where most people start to get their bearings, but if your use case is exclusively small detailed prints, it may be worth it to jump straight into resin. Just prepare for a slightly steeper learning curve.
My local public radio stations were often out of phase. Makes sense, not really relying on advertisers the same way.
I’ve been following 3d printing since the early 2000s, when it was all homemade machines printing with weed whacker line, slicers weren’t a thing, and resolution was garbage. Now I have a resin printer that cranks out tiny detailed tabletop miniatures no problem. What a time to be alive.
I’ve toyed with the idea of staffing the House by sortition. Maybe not entirely random, pooling from State and local offices might be more practical, political efficacy is a skill and a little experience is valuable.
