I get it. But saying Jesus is the snare doesn’t really make sense. Community is the answer, and that’s what they provide.

He’s the answer to the longings we often try to fill with ambition, success, or self-discovery.

Like saying 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything. Maybe we need to figure out what the question is, cause this answer doesn’t make any sense.

Interesting that only Democratic leaders are capable of fudging their crime statistics. If we’re going to investigate DC, why not also investigate Dallas?

I bet whatever investigation they do will come up with a lot of cops that will be fired to showing an appropriate amount of restraint.

Oh, right. I assumed “scraping” wasn’t meant literally. I assumed they were actually using an instance to pull in data (maybe using threads). Then training the AI off the data from their instance. If it is literally scraping, that’s petty dumb.

Is it? The entire point of federation is that you can download all the data from another instance. Facebook is just training AI on the data that they’ve downloaded.

I very much get the first point. Victims need to be protected at all costs. Even if it means the public doesn’t get to know things.

To the second point, the way Trump handled it felt very much like “case closed, nothing to see here”. This does not feel like justice is going to be served.

It’s possible they were protecting their own. You don’t release only the parts that implicate your opponents and leave out the parts that implicate your friends.

I think it’s also possible there wasn’t any smoking gun that directly implicated anybody. Only loose associations to Epstein that we already were aware of.

So if they did release it, Republicans wouldn’t believe anything in it that made them look bad, and Democrats wouldn’t care as they want a real smoking gun before they react. So it wouldn’t help in the election, and the release would have zero impact.

Instead, let the next administration deal with it. With Trump now in charge, it really is a rock and a hard place. If there are “loose associations” that make him or his people look bad, and they are the ones to release it, Republicans would not be able to question its authenticity.

Notice how Trump is now claiming Obama and Biden were manipulating the documents, which is why he won’t release it. This is giving his people a reason to be skeptical even if he does release something that looks bad.

TLDR, either Democrats are implicated and Biden was protecting, or Biden felt it was better to let the next administration deal with it, especially if the next administration was Trump.

My guess is there is an admin that knows where each contributor is from. And can approve or decline check in requests.

I blame social media. Though not specific social medias like Facebook or twitter, but the general concept of social media. I think people in general are easily manipulated in a social level (not just Americans, but everybody). But social media allows this to happen en mass and personalized to every single person. With minimal effort.

It’s almost like social media was designed specifically to enable fascist agendas.
