I can understand not leaving a tip if you don’t have the housekeepers clean during your stay. But if you have them service your room daily during your stay, you should tip them.
I honestly don’t remember. But I shouldn’t have my voice censored simply for disagreeing with something that was posted. The entire point of the voting system is so that quality content reaches the widest audience.
Also, how do you define a “positive interaction?” If I disagree with what’s posted but provide polite criticism, is that a positive or negative interaction? IMO, if I’m not flinging shit at the walls and insulting users, or otherwise violating the rules of said community, that feels like a positive interaction to me.
Hey. Just wanted to say that you banned me from a number of communities I only voted on with no notification. I only found out because I randomly checked the mod log one day. Trying to police participation by bans via voting behavior puts a chilling effect on the greater Lemmy community and creates an echo chamber with no critical examination of what is being posted. Also, it’s a pretty cowardly way to mod.
It’s not weird when you consider he doesn’t give a fuck about anyone but himself.
If they wanted to minimize color/printing costs, they wouldn’t color the whole box black.
Well, what did you expect?
Often enough, their viewpoints have been discredited already. To me, it’s rarely worth the effort of disputing bunk information if it’s clearly wrong and the person writing it is not engaging in good faith. I know some people enjoy debating, but I prefer to save my sanity most of the time.
Because there’s no use engaging with someone who is not willing to consider new information or alternative viewpoints. Those people have an agenda to push and often come off as hostile or rude. Much better to just downvote and move on.
I hope this backfires on these companies and they lose support. I know I won’t be buying any of their products.
Probably pretty mild compared to other responses you’ll get, but every so often I have one where all my teeth fall out. I don’t know why, but that one always disturbs me more than the ones where I’m in danger.
No idea, but I’m not opposed to finding out.
Could be. I was sitting on the carpet. I’ve never seen anything like it before or since, though.
Technically, I didn’t buy this, but I feel like it fits the spirit of the thread.
When I was a kid, a friend of mine gifted me an off-brand Super Nintendo controller to me for my birthday. I used it for all of about 5 minutes before it shocked the shit out of my hand and then never worked again.
Damm, hoisted by my own petard.
I’m not saying put bulls are the most dangerous breed, but when was the last time you heard of a retriever or a lab shooting someone?
Is co-wash conditioner? 30 sec max.
I’m asking this in good faith, but are you/your police friends white? Historically speaking, minorities have been profiled, been more likely to be arrested, and been subject to harsher sentences than white people have. This is no small part to the reason that the ACAB sentiment runs much deeper in minority populations. And I say this as a white man with a mother and brother that work for the police.
Is that why placebos work? I could swear they had done studies that show that placebos can be as effective as medication under certain conditions, all other things being equal. Maybe not as effective as medication, but more effective than non-treatment.
