French artillery engineers had a simple idea: Take a big gun, mount it on a truck, and you’ve got self-propelled artillery at relatively little cost.
Horses have been moving artillery pieces around basically since mobile cannons were developed.
As far as I know, a large majority of Israelis support the whole liebensraum thing, and fucking up Iran (whose government are also a bunch of murderous shitbags, btw). We don’t really know how many “Joe six-pack” iranians support this confrontation. Often, even people who are against a government will support warring against a perceived enemy, which is why so many leaders, when in trouble at home, start wars. See Putin, Bush, Netanyahu, maybe Trump next, and a looong list.
I do SMB support, so I have a pretty good idea of what people tend to do.
I haven’t seen a PS brick catch fire (possible, OFC, but extremely rare in my opinion) i have seen a PC PSU catch fire, and because of the fan, it’s fucking scsry, like a jet with the afterburner.
Replacement is usually removing 6-10 screws and prying the case with a guitar pick or old credit card. There is most likely a disassembly video on youtube. Batteries from aliexpress or the like are usually cheap (although probably more expensive than the computer). Depending on the application, the “built-in UPS” can be nice.
The big influence was Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. That was the album that flipped me. The musical invention on that album was, like, ‘Wow!’ That was the big thing for me. I just thought, ‘Oh dear me. This is the album of all time. What the hell are we going to do?’ So, Sgt Pepper eventually came out, basically, from the idea that I had about this band. It was going to be an album of another band that wasn’t us. We were going to call ourselves something else, and just imagine all the time that it wasn’t us playing this album. So, I had this song written of ‘Sgt Pepper’, who, twenty year’s ago today, taught us to play and we’re his protégés and here we are.

I would need your password to be able to replicate, as well as your mother’s maiden name, city of birth and first pet’s name.
You are a truly sad individual.
I think I mayhave heard 2-3of her songs, so no Swiftie here.
She’s a Billionaire. She creates value. She offers it to people who willingly buy it.
Nothing like billionaires who manipulate markets, hoard resources, or land, or housing.
Yes, I’ve heard the jet controversy, and there are other questionable things, I’m sure, but in the Billionaire context, I’d say she’s on the decent side of the spectrum.
She’s OK by me.
I use zoom several times a week, and have had to revert to windows several times because development lags behind win/mac, and for some reason my org has a fixation on trying new features, useful or not.
Why is this fucker exposing my IP?
Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or even Google. They give a shit about your wellbeing, as long as they profit.
That’s delusional. The try to cater to what will keep you engaged, so that as much of the data you can generate can be milked. That’s like saying that agrobusiness cares about livestock’s wellbeing.
Ignorant here. Would mining rigs work for this?
There are many examples of software where the UI etc can be changed. I have never felt comfortable in GIMP’s UI, but then again I’m much more of a vector guy.
I only wear suits when I have to, but I’ve worked in “suit environments” many years. Suits have many purposes, like hiding the truly horrible bodies that some have, Trump is an example. They also prevent people from showing up to work in garish or outlandish outfits which may be distracting or offensive to some. Also, they make dressing up to go to work really simple.
That said, I live in a place that has really hot summers, like 40C+, and wearing a suit in summer is really uncomfortable, even those linen summer suits. It’d be great if there were a number of accepted formal attires. For hot weather I like the caribbean “Guayabera”
Ages ago I used to use Webmin. I have no clue as how it stacks up to others nowadays.
You can specify the virtualization engine in VirtualBox, including KVM.
A couple of easy virtualization tools that allow you to create VMs in a few clicks are Gnome Boxes and QuickEmu, which leverages Qemu and KVM
Do domesticated hornets exist?
That’s one of the beauties of Linux, if you need something else than want you can probably get another distro that suits your needs. OP was asking about newbies. I set up Mint for my mom. I can guarantee that she won’t change.
My son on the other hand distro hops.
