If you want someone else to do work for you and pay for expenses upfront for you, you should expect to pay for thator have your interaction with that service be sold to advertisers at a minimum.

@ruud@lemmy.world There are a lot of federation issues I’ve seen between lemmy.world and other instances.

I can’t seem to subscribe to any communities from fanaticus.social or midwest.social. I made an account on fanaticus.social and can’t subscribe the other way either.

There was a delay of days for https://midwest.social/post/689124 and https://lemmy.world/post/174998 to start syncing and they are still out of sync. (These have synchronized since my post here)

Seriously though, Lemmy is very glitchy. Hopefully v0.18 improves things. It’s in public testing now.

There are a number of iOS apps being developed right now. A few are taking inspiration from Apollo for the UI

I created a space for people to make connections and learn from each other but I haven’t had much success in growing it yet it’s only been about a week.

I called it Grok.Town and plan to start up a Lemmy instance at that domain, but for now it’s a space on Matrix with a few rooms to chat and get to know others and help each other.
