Am I an idiot or isn’t the “pip vs conda vs poetry” line talking about package management?

This is what I was going to say.
Yeah, the person above you seems to be ignoring the fact that them breaching their air space for the first time is an escalation, not to mention China has generally been escalating it’s rhetoric recently.
It could be argued that China is feeling pressured to escalate (due to external events or US escalating trade/policy stances), but threatening a missile system is more signaling “keep this up and we’ll respond”.
I think this is the best response in this thread.
Software engineering is a lot more than just writing some lines of code and requires more thought and planning than can be realistically put into a prompt.
I wouldn’t say worst, but maybe greatest difference in expectation vs reality - “My Time at Portia”.
Cutscenes and voice acting were janky. The UI felt like it was originally an MMO and feels odd for a single player game. The gameplay loop felt tedious and seemed to disrespect the player’s time.
Maybe I needed to give it more time, but for a game that I thought had generally good/great reviews, it wasn’t clicking for me.
With things like wsl, conda has also become less useful. Anaconda is terrible software and the need for conda managed packages is mostly lost outside of the windows OS in my opinion.
Yeah they took that prediction an odd step too far.
Yeah, you rarely hear people complain about music streaming apps because they don’t have (as much of) an exlueitivy problem. Apple/Google/Spotify/etc. Are competing on service/cost/features.
Maybe not the same thing as FPS chess, but a great chess rougelike with guns is https://store.steampowered.com/app/1972440/Shotgun_King_The_Final_Checkmate/
I think the argument is that as less people have desktops and laptops, the only people left will be more technical (otherwise they’d just use a phone or tablet). The more technical people are also likely to use Linux. So as non-technical people move to tablets and phones, technical people make up a larger share of laptop/desktop users.
You don’t have to use the app, the website is fine. However, with dominos if you aren’t using one of their coupon “deals” you’re overpaying for their food.
Their whole gimic is how the “coupons” save you money, but it’s not fast food prices without them.
That’s like 50% of all tip calculations nowadays. It’s really obnoxious and feels like it’s trying to make you feel guilty for tipping an appropriate amount, but taxes and service charges aren’t part of the service.
These models are also already open sourced, you can’t stop it. Additionally all of those “requirements” would just mean that AI would only be owned by big corporations.
All I’m hearing is jailtime for Tina Belcher and her erotic friend fiction!
But seriously, i generally agree that as long as people aren’t sharing it shouldn’t be a problem. If I can picture it in my head without consequence, seems kinda silly putting that thought on paper/screen should be illegal.
A counterpoint to that is things like batteries, ram, motherboards, etc. in laptops (and pretty much every other device that uses rechargeable batteries). The fact is that for better designs the batteries are probably not going to be easily standardized in electric cars (also kills innovation).
PC motherboards aren’t trying to use the least amount of space possible, because desktops can be large. The same isn’t true with cars, the space matters.
He did do a great job with what they gave him. He’s the only reason the film is bearable, and would have loved to see a more serious and earnest take on that movie.
I think the worst thing about it is batman doesn’t actually solve/do much. I like that him being new/young means he isn’t infallible, but I would have liked him to have a win or two.
Still love the movie though.
I absolutely agree, felt like they didn’t know what kind of movie they wanted to make and just kinda threw whatever they could think of into it.
Why be the bad guy when you can just enable them.
