My gender is my concern, but you may use any pronoun to refer to me

No profit motive. No shady board of directors making deals with a place we are trying to build community.
Was only a few years ago I realized that the minute hand is entirely superfluous for most applications. You can easily tell what ten minute interval of the day you are in by looking only at the hour hand.
There are points of political thought that don’t lie on the conservative <-> liberal line. Which is a shockingly short line to begin with, once you see it from the outside.
It’s an exit interview? And you want to know the appropriate thing to say to someone pressuring you to be social in ways you don’t wish to be? You tell them to fuck the fuck off and you walk out the door.
Beats the alternative.
That’s a lot to cover… I’ve learned so far that Russia is responsible for 4% of the world’s CO_2 emissions, and that emissions in Russia and Ukraine have decreased fastest of all countries since 1990. That the USA is responsible for 28% of all emissions that have accumulated since the Industrial revolution, and that Russia has emitted 11%. Is there something specific you would like me to learn about?
In large part, it’s simply a matter of scale and wealth concentration. If Canada was as large and wealthy as the USA, we’d probably all be cooked by now.
Russia invading is a statistical risk. The USA (as the leading avatar of capital) exploiting, degrading, and destroying the commons we need to survive is an unavoidable certainty. Russia and Sweden are also doing those things, but on a significantly lesser scale.
Which one is killing us faster? I’m pretty sure it’s the USA. Nice that you get to live in a democracy I guess but that doesn’t mean a damn thing to someone living outside the USA and being exploited and abused by it.
I can do anything.
The Hobbit is far better than LotR. It’s no contest.
If you can deny the sentience and right to exist without being property of cows, pigs, and chickens, its a very small step to humans.
As much as I hate SEO companies, people who hire them are even worse, so I can only approve of this.
that’s a first amendment violation
It is a first amendment violation when THE STATE and ONLY THE STATE restricts your expression. You can absolutely have your expression restricted by private agreements that you willingly enter into.
People who model their lives after the teachings of Jesus are pretty rare. I think it is more psychologically valuable because Christians are able to psychologically transfer the moral qualities of Jesus to themselves. Jesus is “good” in ways that most Christians today don’t even give a shit about, but it gives him moral character, and so it allows Christians to feel like they have moral character as well.
In fact, I was going to link to the article about “moral licensing” as though I actually knew what I was talking about (I don’t) and I see there is a section about exactly this idea, where people see themselves as having the moral qualities of others in their in-group:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-licensing#Group_membership
So in a way, the stories about Jesus allow Christianity to fill an important spiritual role in people’s lives: assuring them that they are good people. But it’s tricking them, and Jesus has to be a model of good morality for this trick to work.
His moral teachings are irrelevant. It’s like how when cops volunteer to do a charity car wash. Moral behaviour doesn’t get you everlasting life.
suppressing wages and social housing so that starvation and homelessness make labour cheaper
That people watch them. I can stop myself from watching them, but all those billions of my fellow stupid people are still being influenced, and I can’t do anything about that.
I’d have to say it’s the mind control that bothers me the most. When I cut the cord to my TV way back when, it really felt like most people lived in an ersatz reality where people only did things they saw in TV commercials. Whatever they see on TV is “real” and anything that capital doesn’t have an interest in promoting to them is “weird.”
I took a closer look at what you are asking for and no, you cannot hand a reference to a python structure to a library and have it write the binary data from memory out to disk, then read that same binary data back into living Python instances later. That’s just not how Python works. For one thing, any such structure is full of pointers which would be invalid unless you re-load to the same address in memory, which is not practical. You have to serialize and de-serialize.
