Thanks, yeah it did. They were autoflowers thankfully so I only lost like 3 months of time but it still stung having to trash it all. How’s the humidity where you are? I learned that botrytis needs three things to attack your plant:

    1. a host (the strawberries)
    2. an initial food supply. an open wound on the plant is all it takes.
    3. this is the big one, and the one i was warned about but ignored, HUMIDITY. I’m on the east coast and it got incredibly humid last summer.

As long as you can control for 2 of the 3 you should keep the mold at bay. I built a cheapo cage out of 1x2s and window screening to keep out the moths, as well as some some outdoor rated fans to help with the humidity. The strains I’ve grown so far definitely need defoliation so I can’t do much about not having open wounds on the plant. I’ve found college extension websites to be a very reliable source of free information if you want to do some reading!

Seriously. I hate when people assume default settings are the only option. You don’t even need a Plex account to set up Plex. It will just be less seamless and user friendly. Never adopt the server, configure these via localhost (ssh tunnel works) and then set up your networking. Don’t even need to update it, it will run for as long as the database stays stable. Which should be years or more.
