What a wholesome thread, people around the world sharing what makes them happy, I could relate to it all. Makes you see that we are all basically the same

You are being naive. Who tells the story? Do they have an agenda they want to push?
I can already hear youu typing: “That is why you should check multiple sources, etc”.
I would reply that is literally impossible to follow all the minitua on everything and would ask if that is a sound strategy to take in life, using all your energy and time on a day trying to know all that is to know in the world; or is best to use your time and energy wisely to better your life and of those around you?
The US is not the center of the world, you are conditioned of thinking that something is important even if it doesn’t apply tangibly to your life in any impactful way.
Fascists use that rhetoric to trap people into believing whatever they are trying to sell.
Ps: I used to think like you, I was thaught it was the best thing to do, be open minded and what not. There is truth in that phrase but the best way to spin a narrative is taking a bit of truth and wraping it in shit

Voyager has it and I had no idea. Thanks to you I am already taking advantage of the feature…

I don’t think the problem is social media but the curation of them. It is very rare to see something that shocks me on a bad way through my feed. Just like in our lives we need to build around us, the problem is that most social media won’t let us. Taking charge in life is very hard, capitalism profits a lot on convenience. Sometimes the means of change is taken from us, especially on the digital world (this is where the problem lies).

I have somewhat quit gaming as well. The problem is that I always feel like I am missing out. It taught me so much, surely there are still titles that would blow my mind, make me question reality or introduce me to deep philosophical questions. The truth is that mostly I feel like games are a waste of time. I have never come full closure on it. It seems weird not using the medium since it exercises the brain way more than other mindless activities.

Is it worth getting into it now? Without rose tinted glasses I mean. Or are there better alternatives? (Shattered Pixel Dungeon for example). I have tried Shattered Pixel but found it too nonsensical, having to learn tons of mechanics that don’t seem to make sense other than trial and error and huge RNG (which I am not a fan of).
Is it only a joke? I tried finding the painting and failed haha :)

I use soulseek but still have no idea how to find quality sources. I just filter my search with .flac and scan the users’s folder structure (the more organized the better odds at being a good rip?). Am I doing it wrong?

What would be your ideal breakfast?

Where do you find those?

Why do we like being fooled by magicians? Why do we like being fooled by some branding or propaganda? It is our nature, you realized that. Now how do you not suffer internally with that fact? How can you turn this knowledge into wisdom? By using it for good

Reality is unfathomably complex. We can use our pre frontal cortex and think everything critically or we can learn patterns that are good enough.
Why is white sinonimous with purity and peace? Why we can have a somewhat coherent consensus on beauty? Why rockstars fabricate ludicrous stories to be seen as bad boys?
Telling an archetypical story impresses and dazzles other people. Again, reality is too complex.
What I have been learning to do, since I struggled with what you are asking a lot. How can I have substance and at the same time tell a compelling story?
Clube da Esquina 2

Noob question. Isn’t a wiki text, images and hiperlinks? Why not just use html for it?
That whole scene is so well made. The music, cinematography and plot all culminate in that beautiful but still twisted moment. Brilliant!
The latest beginner guide from LTT is really good. So good that I was somewhat baffled. Whoever did the script for that episode deserves a raise. It is information packed but beginner friendly and has plenty of infographic detailing stuff.

I did use CRT TVs and monitors, but only when very young. Man you just made me revisit a part of my brain long dormant! I loved the sweet static discharge as well, it was so f*ing rad!
Have no idea why 1917 was less commented than Dunkirk. The former is a masterpiece and the latter is just bad
Kill"em All?
