Yeah but they won’t be as locked down and have better specs, there are pocket sized laptops if that’s what you want. It won’t be more portable but it’ll be equvilant.

At that point you wouldn’t benefit much from the tablet features, have you considered getting a tiny laptop (I can recommend a few)?

I’ll probrally be one of the few people here to say this but tbh if you need Windows then don’t feel pressured to use Linux. Its not worth (IMO) the stability loss to dualboot, feel free to keep using Windows.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet works with postmarketos (mobile Linux), keep in mind considering your price range and considering its a tablet you’re lucky to get 4gb of ram at most.

If you’re willing to go that far at that point it’s probrally easier (and more stable) to just completely overwrite your windows partitions.

Windows will actively attempt to destroy your Linux partition at every opportunity, you can dual boot but it won’t be a fun experience.

I finally replaced all of the proprietary default apps with fossify ones, sadly they lack a few nice features (the keyboard doesnt have auto-correct or suggestions).

They do it in comparison to other laptops released today but cannot compete with older Thinkpads. Ive held and personally seen a Framework 16 (arguably their laptop with the best build quality) and I can tell that it has some massive sacrifices. Its not as durable and not built as well most likely due to manufacturing issues, in addition its clearly trying to be somewhat slim which im not a fan of. Im not sure about Tuxedo because theyre basically a German first brand (granted you could technically get it imported but you have to pay over €100 in shipping and additional import fees/customs. Also im pretty sure it’ll take significantly longer). Ok I just checked the build quality looks good (german engineering and manufacturing is famously good) and they sell some hefty laptops, obviously its sold at a very high premium.
