Yes! Love JG Thirlwell’s work. Been listening to the Wiseblood album a lot recently.
Always looking for new music.

It’s still one of my favourite albums.
👍🏻
Yeah there’s an honesty in his voice that really resonates with me.
Anathema are one of my favourite ever bands. This entire album is immensely important to me.
I’d second this suggestion, I’ve used borg with rsync.net for the past 4 years and it’s been great.
Glad you like it!
Yeah I really like his tone and playing style. I’ll be checking more out by him.
Oh wow this had completely passed me by. I love this style, thanks!
I can’t speak for the mods but I’d love to see original music here.
Paramore’s response to this was so classy: https://deadline.com/2024/02/paramore-tennessee-house-resolution-grammy-wins-allison-russell-snub-1235829012/
I have so much love for this album. It’s one of the first I ever bought. Such a beautiful track too.
That’s beautiful ❤️
“Untitled” by Smashing Pumpkins. It’s not my favourite song of theirs but it immediately takes me back to when it came out, watching it with my first girlfriend on Kerrang TV.
As is “numerous”. I’ve also read his autobiography, and I have no doubt about the kind of person he is.
“Separate the art from the artist” should be a discussion, not a rule. Also sexual abuse is not a small thing.
If his music has a special place for you, fine, but also accept that there are people who don’t want to promote him because of the numerous allegations about him and his behaviour.
The main synth melody in Nine Inch Nails’s “Ringfinger” has this kind of effect.
Oh wow, that must have been a great concert.
Outrage/protest isn’t really evident in pop music, but it’s still there in scenes like punk and hardcore. Off the top of my head, Body Farm are a great contemporary punk band that call out (neo)conservatism and fascism.
Edit: check out their track Revolution With Friends
