  • The country most famous for the bidet trend is France and currently swimming in the Seine is still looking impossible. If my infrastructure is so shitty and 3rd world here at least my lakes, rivers and water ways are all clean enough for me to use.

Every country has its problems, but calling the US 3rd world is just your brain being full of straight negative propaganda. Simultaneously not every French River is unusable or every country filled with Bidets an actual mark of their progress. Go experience a country first before just talking shit.

Also, stable government?? Literally our biggest problem is that our government has been so stable that it has changed for 240 years.

  • In no realm does the US consider Japan, Germany, or Singapore a rival. China is the only “rival” in there. The other countries don’t have the actual quantity of people or land size to be an economic rival. At best they could have a higher standard of living based on PPP or GDP per capita, but not anything that would overtake the US. You’re trying to turn a simple evaluation tool that every government should be using on its trading partners into some maniacal weapon of economic doom. There are lots of partners in this world. Just like everyone else if you act like everyone is an enemy then all you ever see is targets.

  • A country would meet all three if it had a trade surplus with the United States of at least $15 billion, a current account surplus of at least 3 percent of gross domestic product, and if it had engaged in persistent, one-sided intervention in foreign exchange markets.

Being on the list isn’t a bad thing. You only have to have two of the three things listed in order to be on the list and any of our major trading partners would automatically be on it. It’s simply a mechanism for the US government to have reports on other economies it does business with.

  • Tesla was forced to make their NACS charger an actual standard for the US due to some regulations and rules. Anyways, the gen 4 or 5 charger they have coming has a cable extension for this exact reason. Musk and others noted when they opened up to other manufacturers that it would be difficult to use them due to location of chargers. The Rivian owner isn’t a jerk, just someone who was trying to fast charge and the charger wasn’t built for their vehicle.

As for the signage, 100% they should have taken them down 12/31/23 as that’s the last day they stopped being Tesla specific. All late last year and up until March of this year one after another companies have been falling inline to unify around 1 standard. Thank god (engineers and standards organizations).

  • We have 1 US military base in Israel (officially) and 5 in Saudi Arabia. With Jordan, Qatar, the UAE and Kuwait also housing personnel and bases/posts. (Officially and unofficially). There’s a lot more to Israel than just the US supporting them for our hegemony and if they weren’t being helped by us it wouldn’t exactly be a major loss anymore. Allegedly the nuclear capability they posses is due to us supplying them with it.

People act like Israel is our only ally in the region but outside of Shia Islamic heavy countries we have a number of Muslim/Islamic majority ally’s. Maybe not “friends” per se, but definitely have been part of our coalition forces before, and heavily trade with us and consume our culture.

  • Ukraine has a shit load of old Soviet era stuff. Of course they need supplies around that. They also keep asking for more F-16s and ammo for our weapons platforms we gave them. What does Ukraine and the weapons they use have to do with Israel?

Israel uses NATO standards for basically everything and the iron dome is effectively patriots. That’s all western tech with western specs. Russia and China would have to either create whole new missiles and calibers to fit, or they would have to buy older or brand new weapons systems and platforms which would take a decade plus to switch to.

Congrats on finding out how diplomacy works. Diplomacy isn’t a unit of measurement nor is it a spec. Which is what all those NATO spec weapons are that currently Israel is using.
